The description of the ad says they're debuting in white and black but the shoes in the ad are grey and black.

Unless of course this is that blue dress/gold dress shit all over again.

The colour listed next to the show is "Grey // Suede Leather" so I presume either the whites are on a different page in the catalogue, or they've dropped a bollock.

This is the second run of the Cromer 2s to be released.
The first ones coming out will be the white leather ones ( which I don’t have a picture of)

The only companies challenging the market are adidas and NB in more recent times.

Basically. Also, how many times have brands done 'new' shoes and then drop them after one or two seasons because they don't sell?

State nailed the little kid aesthetic on those velcro WKND collabs. The nike and vans equivalent at least looked somewhat suitable for adults.

While I know you now know the grey suede shoe here is actually being called out as grey, not white, I'd like to touch on your point of companies calling off-white or parchement color shoes white. That discrepancy where the shoe is called white but looks more off-white usually happens with suede models, because it is damn near impossible to get suede to turn actual white in the tanning/dying process. Closest you can get is the off white, which when they aren't calling it just white Nike sometimes calls "Sail" and Vans sometimes calls "Marshmallow"

These look different than the ones that he’s been skating, but I’ll be picking up multiple pairs of these so long as Vans keeps making them.

Kind of strange that it’ll be 20 years of Rowley on Vans and they won’t be making a big deal out of it. Meanwhile TNT gets a whole line of clothing a new shoe and more.
