I wish emerica would just reissue the tilts or mj1’s already....

They did already with the MJ 1 in 2009. Called them the OG-one. Had a few pairs of the black/yellow ones.

They should do the MJ 2’s. In the black/grey/white pair.

The Templeton 1 is the Emerica I skate my best  in and I’ll always love it the most and hope that or his Sheep model return in some way.   The white gum emerica colorway was a bit much for me back then, but I think I’d be all over that now

yea I remember. Re issuing the mj2 would be amazing as well. one of the most comfortable shoes I ever had.

The Emerica TM on here, said they were bringing back the Tilt like it was, but modernized slightly, so I'm almost 100% it's a cupsole and not a vulc.

That's a bummer to hear. A lot of people loved them back then (as mentioned one of my favorites and a lot of team riders wore them). The reissue isn't a straight reissue, it's a little updated. I put some samples on yesterday and they felt really good. Stoked for this one.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the tilt's popularity was due mainly to the fact that it was a relatively cheap, simple, skateable alternative to many of the tech shoes, not necessarily due to it's aesthetics. It had a similar shape to the MJ1 and Reynolds 2, but not quite the same charm as either of those. It wasn't ugly, just not very special looking. So, keeping the paneling and changing the way the shoe skates seems like they are missing the appeal of that shoe.

Regarding the court shoe, it's the Gamma which was an Emerica shoe from 97 so it's a reissue that we just modified a little bit. Hope you guys like them.

The emerica gamma is just the same as the original DC Danny Way shoe, which was also reissued recently and was a flop.  SoleTech just can't get it right.

The main thing I didn't like about the DW1 reissue is that it had Danny Way's name on it, so that Emerica shoe actually sounds pretty good to me.

Then why not just have the dicksons be its own thing and make the tilts a g6 cupsole? Pouring resources into yet another vulc team shoe that over steps features on an existing model is a waste. Especially when there is a market for well made cups.

In Emerica's defense, the flick shield is a good feature that can be used on any model. It just increases longevity and doesn't change the look of the shoe.

But the thought process behind bringing back the tilt as a totally different shoe seems a bit bungled.

When shoes get reissued without the air bubble, the company is conceding one of 2 things:
1. The air bubble is dumb and we were fooling you then.
2. The air bubble is not dumb and we are fooling you now.
