Really digging the Alcove, Emerica should make more of these kinds of models.

Are we gonna ignore that the Alcove is now a cupsole? Effectively making the original figgy, but as a team model w/o the G6 midsole?

Not complaining, og figgys are sick.
Still hoping the Pillar gets the cupsole treatment eventually.

I'd like to try the Alcove if it's indeed a cupsole now, but it looks like it may be the same sole as the Dose which is a bit too thick for my tastes. Tim - you got any info on the sole on the Alcove (or if Time Bomb ordered any)?

The new Alcove cupsole looks like the Figgy, was that the idea? Same Sole?
Figgy 1 was great!

Emerica's definitely on the right track as of late, super exited to see how their 2021 line ends up looking. I love eS... but more than half of that catalog looks like trash  :'(

Saw these swansons today on the vans site and hadn't seen them before. Not bad looking.

I believe they are leather in the toes area which makes them a pass for me. Still look great though

Those green Spanky's and that brown pure bar hoodie will be instant purchases for me.

Started wearing my pair of Reynolds' G6 I've been sitting on - Love them.

I was planning on copping either those of the Half Cabs in that colorway. Do you not like leather in the toe because of sweatiness? I don't think I've ever had leather slips so I'm curious.

I'm a broken record on this: es bum me out.

The second page of that catalogue says "Design. Community. Skateboarding.", with pictures mostly consisting of photos from photo shoots for the new accel and includes a picture of Bieber and Nyjah. Their whole spiel is legacy, but don't forget that they binned their whole team (in 2012!) and are getting away with practically not sponsoring anyone or producing any footage.

Now they want to get some of the Olympics action in a completely feckless way? No thanks.

Yeah I figured leather slips in a California summer isn’t a very fun combo. I had the leather janoski slips and those were pretty awful to break in.

For what it's worth, it looks like they are nubuck rather than normal leather. Nubuck is closer to the suede side of things, so I'd think they would perform and breathe more like suede than leather.

The Emerica Gama. Not really feeling the long toe piece (if that’s the name) stretching across the whole shoe.

I like it, but the laces on the white one don’t look right.  Need to be thicker or something

I have to say, this is a step in the right direction for emerica. I’m not crazy about this model but it doesn’t offend. Also those purple joslins actually look.... good. But don’t quote me on that

Just came here to post those Gamma's...  I agree it's a step in the right direction though I'm also not a big fan of the long piece that wraps around the whole shoe/toe. Unfortunate about that off-white sole - I've seen too many discolored shoes that sat in a window display too long to associate that color with anything else. Curious to see what these look like in person.

Would skate those white ones for sure. I skate Reebok Club C's but they're not the most durable. The only alternative i've found are Supra Elevates but these look closer to what I want.
