GOD I FUCKING HATE HIM . I get his stupid shorts in YouTube algorithm and it’s so annoying watching him try and push his fake positivity while blatantly addressing the comments on his bad style and the fact the industry has shunned him .

Dude has the biggest chip on his shoulder cause he couldn’t get on birdhouse and it’s funny as hell watch him do bad skatepark tricks for nerds in the Midwest on the internet .

Kinda got more going on and more sources of income than most brands so it definitely makes sense. It’s simple business and isn’t that weird, if you grow and cater to your customers they will buy your products. I would also barely call this maintaining a shoe line but I bet they’ve done their consumer research and know how pairs of these they can sell. Pretty sure they ran a pre-order in the past for a previous version or something like that.

Yeah, I get and know all that so it’s not weird in the business model sense. More weird in the way that it always throws me off to remember there’s this whole parallel skate industry focused almost solely around YouTube that only occasionally interacts with the skate industry we care about.

Braille's are just as bad> Lance use to be one of the worst offenders in ragards to that, however nobody can top Aaron for his regular facial expressions, especially in videos where it's a contest against someone else (game of S.K.A.T.E. or just challenges in the warehouse), trying to look intimidating in the thumbnail...then the whole video is them giggling. You can tell it's not aimed for skaters in double digit year ages.

I know a guy that bought a pair of those at Zumiez, he loves them. I just busted his balls the entire time he wore them, but he swore that they were some of the best skate shoes on the market. He hyped them up so much that I was considering a pair. I didn't, thankfully.
