What’s the difference with the Decon style?

Decon stands for deconstructed. For the Crockett High Decons, it means that all the padding was taken out of the collar and tongue and that the toe is one-piece with deco stitching instead of the double stitched toe cap the regular ones have. Gilbert explains the difference in this IG post

If Decons aren't marked $2-5 cheaper at least from regular models, you're getting scammed out of less (and arguably worse quality) shoe.

I strongly dislike brands doing these decon versions of shoes but not cutting the cost slightly. I also don't like decon versions in general because I think it's dumb to lose padding in shoes that quite literally need it -_-

That said, those leather decons look great, and I hope Crockett Hi enjoyers rejoice nonetheless!

Agreed, especially this shoe in general. The Crockett Hi imo has the right balance of thin padding to make it comfortable enough. They do look good but I don't like authentics and can't wear them for this exact reason. They tear the hell out of my achilles.

When I think of girl I don't picture superstars. Maybe cons pro leathers. I guess it would be a lot of effort to get something from the tech shoe period made up. I even think a janoski was a bigger part of girl image than the adidas

Isn’t IPath just going to be (Axion 3.0) 2.0?

Already has come back once in a lesser form.   Assuming this launch will be about retro-ing classic models with some  ugly new ones.   No real team to speak of bc no one worthwhile is going to ditch a cushy flow program at corporate shoe brand for this and who’s even around from the original line-up to be a mascot?

grasshopper, cats, mystics.

i bought a lot of ipaths. had the shoes been made out of better materials, that would have been nicer.
the suede grasshoppers, especially in navy, were too good. that’d be my only shoe. i’d be fine with that.
i liked skating in the cats as well.

they had great designs. yes ripping off a jordan 1, and then a wallabee, qualifies as great imo

I’ve been learning that the biggest reason core skate shoe cos hated Nike, etc getting in skateboarding is that they could no longer rip off those designs.   

Probably back in the day but don't know how true that is now since we've seen the resurgence of the Manteca, Telford, KSL, and a couple other models from the core brands. Seems like we get a fair amount of shoes from core shoe brands that have that "inspired" look to them.

I really hope this Ipath relaunch just sticks with those 3 core models mentioned above. Nothing techy and nothing vulc.

I'm guessing you'd have to go with Matt field, Matt Rodriguez, Fred gall and/or get quim cardonna off Areth (that Japanese Ipath like brand) maybe they're too old but wes, Evan and madars could actually be an ok new Ipath team (altho they'd prob want some vulcs and not high too cupsoles)
