those ASICS are just confusing

does the broken up midsole/sidewall have any positive effect on performance? it seems inconsistent...

without that and the fucking baseball cleat tongue, these might look okay. The toe cap looks pretty durable and they went crazy on the stitching

4/10 for first looks

One more vote for #3.

One of my friends had that shoe, in that colorway, and he said it was great. The look of that shoe was the first thing that caught his attention, and he knew it would be comfortable (even with that stock insole), but he was pleasantly surprised at just how durable the shoes were: He got several months worth of skateboarding out of these, WITHOUT having to superglue down any stitching to keep the shoe in one piece. The hidden lace loops are a great feature too.

If they made a mid-top version (for skateboarding, not for hiking) in an all black colorway, I'd be all over it.

Don't bother with 4, i'm pretty sure it's a BMX model and the outsole is really stiff and not good for skateboarding

Your feet will maybe not like your decision. These walmart etnies somewhat look like skateshoes but they are not comparable to maranas in terms of shock absorption, stability, and especially durability. I get that saving bucks is necessary at times but i am convinced that you could have gotten some maranas for 50-60 dollars. Just a thought though, hope you are happy with them.

I mean if you're budget conscious you could have just grabbed something at Zumiez. They've got converse pro for $30, one star for $25. Or even just gotten the DC Lynx Zero

Yup, I was just browsing and picked up some Aurelien’s non Michelin for $54 shipped with the ‘welcome20’ discount code. I haven’t had a pair of Etnie’s since some Arto’s in like 2007 but I really like how they have a simple classic skate shoe look to them.

that almost screams as an admission that this account is fake like I believed it to be when it first came about. Has there been any actually confirmation of IPath coming back? The comments from Matt Rodriguez on Last Resorts post seemed promising but I don’t know
