TyShawn’s do look good. Will try a pair when they go on sell. You know there will be a million colorways again.

I’m guessing they dropped these earlier than the release date. Wouldn’t be surprised if they end up pulling them until the official release. That happened with another shop selling the Reynolds 480 too early.

Fastest purchase I have ever made. 480's are becoming scarce. We need a consistent black suede and I dont fuck with mid/high tops.

I’m trying to snag those Greenwood Dunks and have to wait until they’re on SNKRS Tuesday, and even then, I still might not get them.

Dunks are great, but acquiring them is difficult. Especially when you live in a place without a local skate shop. That alone makes me not want to bother with them sometimes. 480s are an excellent alternative. One with more impact protection and a looser fit.

Edit: Took my other Dunk highs out. There's tons of run in them. So I think I can do 13. They appear to run larger than the lows. Ordered them 🤞🏾

I feel the access to dunks are becoming easier to find online. At least for me. I see them pop up. Usually no sizes for me. But they are coming up in mainstream shops(ccs, tactics) and other shops throwing them online when the sale ends. At least compared to a couple years ago. But the 480 is $20-$30 cheaper. I'll take those over some $120+ dunks anyday.

Vert dudes rarely bail on their feet (comparatively speaking/vs street skaters) so they can wear anything.

Yeah, the shoe screams, “Buy during Black Friday Sale.” I snagged the Remastered 1’s for $35 shortly after they came out. Adidas loves putting his shoes on sale. They probably make too many of them.

I feel like every company now has their "dunk-like" shoe that they're marketing as a replacement for the dunk. Adidas has the Forum that they pushed aggressively as the "original jordan's shoe" that almost immediately failed upon release. New Balance has the 480 which they released a year or two ago as their early 80s basketball shoe and now is making into their signature 80s skate basketball shoe, but they had the 550 before that. Vans has that weird all-leather basketball shoe that they're pushing (think it's called lowland or something?). Etnies has the MC Rap. Converse I guess has the weapon/fastbreak. I mean the Dunks are all pretty much universally hitting general release because nobody is picking them up like they used to. there are collabs here and there but generally you can find dunks pretty easily if you have a local shop. it's just nike being weird about shops putting releases on their sites, and wanting people to come in to pick up shoes. 480s are gaining traction, a lot moreso than the forum ever did, but generally people aren't going ape for shoes. re-sale market is not what it once was.
