I was sure Id seen some somewhat recently but maybe it was a random shop had something from a couple years back still in stock or was on ig or something and I'm getting it mixed up.
I can say tho there is this fukn behemoth of a guy that shops at the same aldi I do that's always wearing the chet 4s and they look insane. He also wears these weird remake of some massive globe that have like a built in sock they look more crazy but more skateable

The TJs look like a great throwback to some early 2k tech shoes, plus the modified version of that sole from the Evant looks great.  Interested to see what other colorways come out.

It's a bit of a mix in respect of designs before and after Pierre moved it under Nidecker.
A lot of the shoes in the catalogues already exist from previous seasons so the turkeys were dropped and the good models had a lot of work done on the colour-ways to present them well.
And then some new product was in the works but it was only in the first month or so of design, so the new shoes for eS, etnies and Emerica are 95% 'new product under the Nidecker brand'.

Hey guys, going to post this here as it's the best thread for this.

Anyway...

I'm studying for my Master's degree in Fashion and Textile Design (University of Lapland, Faculty of Arts), and I'm currently working on a skate shoe design project which will be a part of my master's thesis research.

Shortly, the need for this project stemmed for personal issues with skate shoes available, as there are no shoes available for people with low volume feet, and no shoes that has more of a natural-shaped toe box etc. So the project's goal is to find new solutions in skate shoe design to maximize ergonomics without compromising on the shoe's functionality or aesthetics.

I'm doing my research in various ways, but I'd highly appreciate any knowledge from people, who appreciate a good skate shoe as much as I do. That's why I compiled a survey, just for people on this thread, to gather valuable research data.

Second that sizing advice.  The first pair I had I tried on my size and half a size down.  My size was roomy but easy to get used to.  Half a size down felt too cramped.

No, it wasn't done at that point. There was work done on it in the months prior to the Pierre moving the company but very little of what you see was in place back then.

That shoe was being changed up until the catalogue was done earlier this month. Even to the point where every sales rep sample is wrong.

I've been looking at the fastbreaks and the sablones for a while. Good price and look good. I've been maining the NB#440s and 480's. Nervous to deviate the path. I'm skating the lakai terrace shoe now and really liking it.

Fastbreaks and Sablones have egg crate soles, and do not have a midsole like the NB# I’d probably stay away and stick with the shoes with actual midsoles and tech if that’s what works for you. Especially since the price is about the same.

I never said it was completed but when I was there we had green lit a new Spanky shoe and talked to him about it and we had a rough idea of what the silhouette would be like. For TJ, I can’t speak as I didn’t work on éS but I know they approved a TJ shoe around the same time. My original comment was just meant to say that these decisions were made and starting the designs were pre-buyout as the shoe timeline is 18 months while the buy-out was only 6 months ago or so.
