I can't wait for the half cup to cost $120 (dunk prices) at retail, this would have been a great release like maybe two years ago. I really don't hate the colorway but it's super bland/boring. It would be nice for them to stop with mono colorways all together and instead just put some classic half cab colors out. Maybe bring back the faux alligator skin print, do some brighter colors. 75% of vans' colorways are gloomy and depressing. where they are right now is perfect for their all-black wearing "alt but with a day job" consumer base. type of people who will unironically listen to system of a down or deftones.

Well, being my childhood fav brand my heart hopes that Emerica somehow gets self aware and starts doing cool shit again, so I hope this is the real deal and not just some HoursIsYours-GCode homage type beat.

Funny how easy it would have been to do a cup sole Halfcab and have it be well received and they had to put a weird spin on it.
Leave the aesthetics alone and add some performance.
Seems easy enough.

Pretty sure they got shown a while back and they weren't emericas. Either way look at the size of the fukn things the fact people choose to remember these as some kind of runner type shoe is funny. But if Ellington can make some cash then whatever, getn funded up tonight

IIRC it was supposed to be a reissue by Emerica.
But it might have been postponed / cancelled

All Vans has to do is take the current Halfcab upper and out a basic cupsole sole on it. Could be the one from the Crockett it doesn't matter a ton as long as the shoe maintains almost all of its basic looks people would pounce. People like the Crockett, Rowan 2, and the Zahba any of those woulda worked better.

Cup sole Half Cab looks alright to me. 
Pretty similar to the Wayvee sole, right?

I don't think I'd pay retail, but I'll get them on sale/at the outlet eventually. 

I can't tell from those pics, but the stash pocket doesn't look big enough to me.

Similar to the Wayvee, but looks like a new mold. Could be on another Vans shoe and I don’t know it

The white centering lace loop on the tongue is not doing this shoe any favors. Actually a nice shoe if that wasn’t part of it.
