I guess I'll be the only dissenting opinion on this one, but...  I really don't get it.

The skating in the "3d version" is fucking awesome, which sucks because I'll probably never watch it again. The "3d" is only actually 3d in a few parts... mostly it's just blurry, with weird color and ultimately a huge pain to watch. It literally gave me a headache.

First the one that was filmed on cell phones or whatever and now this. I just don't get the point of making such great skateboarding so difficult to watch.

Bobby is a fucking BEAST, by the way.

the 3-D largely didn't work, especially in the fisheye angles. on long lens it was decent, though.

did you guys adjust the settings on your TV before you watched it? when i watched it at my friends house the quality of the 3d was way better than when i watched it on my own tv(whose settings i can't change because the remote doesn't work).

The 3d is much better if watched with the proper settings.

I take it as general spite towards big production skate videos. They take forever to film, are collections of hammers, and use all sorts of fancy shit that really doesn't matter one way or the other in the end. The krooked videos are made pretty quickly (they have made 4 videos in their short history) with low quality video of dudes cruising around having fun. Its refreshing in a way, while simultaneously obnoxious. I thought making this one in old school red/blue 3d was kind of a joke on the whole new trend with everything being in 3d, from jackass to pirhannas to that one with the blue people everybody seemed to be hyped on. Skate videos are HD and tvs are 3d, why not krook3d?
Are you a kook? If you would say this, the answer is “YES”

I watched this video high as fuck in 3d without the glasses and it was fucking awesome. The whole Ray Barbee section was fucking classic.

I should add that I fucking love everything else about this video. You guys were right who said it makes you crazy to skate. And I really dig that they're messing around with the usual format - having city sections of everyone cruising around instead of individual parts.

I only wish they would have included a 2d edit that was exactly the same as the 3d, only watchable sans glasses. That way the 3d would be an amusing gimmick, but it wouldn't be the only way to watch the main video.

heres the 2d edit i uploaded for some friends who couldn't get there hands on it. but since they snagged it, here it is for everyone else

i thought both edits were a lot of fun, definitely see myself watching the 2d one more simply for lack of glasses.

thanks for the link, Cool Spot. i enjoyed the 3d version (not sure how many times i'll re-watch it though.) i skimmed through the 2d and it looks good. this video sure-as-hell makes me want to go skate.

krook3d is for the children.

but its also for the adults.

fun video with lots of extras that make owning the actual DVD worth it.

it reminded me of one of those crazy books you read when you were a little kid.

i thought david clarke brought the ruckus.

none of the 3d pops out at you but it has amazing depth on certain shots.

weird experimental style that ive come to expect from a krooked production.

enough 3d that worked to call it a success

enough 3d that didnt work to make me never want to see another company do this again.

considering the filming cycle for this video parts by city made sense

i had no idea who i was watching half the time because of the color washout

i dont know if that speaks to how homogenous their styles are or the failure of the color (or lack thereof lol)

all i know is that it was good.

and jason dill wears weird pants.

When Ray barbee came skating towards me with a smile in 3d, I had to hold myself on to the chair not to go skating.

Shop finally got the vid today.  Bobby Worrest is too good.  Taking into the fact that the vid includes 3d ver, 2d ver, 3 c part, mike anderson part, and wastell part this might be my favorite video EVER.  Definitely in the top 3.  And it definitely feels worth the money.

I've never seen him really skate before but that fucker is really good at everything. And Bobby Worrest is dope too. I love how they filmed it where the Krooked guys just mobbed around everywhere. Just a fun video overall.

Did you not enjoy any of the skating? I thought it was great, Manderson has crazy board control and his boards are so good to skate too definate thumbs up for me, although i'll not judge the 3d untill i get the dvd.

Also Brad Cromer is really fucking good, love his footage.
