has anyone had good results from riding white thunder bushings in indy 139's? I just got a free set of the white 90a thunder bushings but i ride indy's, are they good? cause i just can't ride these medium bones bushings anymore, not my cup of tea.
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

Ive ridden Thunder white bushings for years, before changing my trucks to Theeves, which come with Bones. But those Thunders ara amazing, almost as quick as Bones, so if you can fit them into Indys, I think you will be satisfied.

Anybody know the length on an Open 8.25"? On the site it says sizes from 7.75"x31"-8.5"x32" so I'm guessing around 32? 31.625?

they are 8.25" x 32"
everything we make is now at least 32" long. even the 7.8s.. (our current smallest size)

Just the man I was looking for. Sounds good. Can't be too short you know? Boards just feel awkward that way

It fit like a normal sweatshirt for me, slightly big, like it's meant to be worn over another shirt

Can anyone recommend really good bearings? I've always ridden regular Reds and one pair of Shake Junt bearings (which are better than Reds)

I was gonna buy Super Reds with Bones Speed Cream and that thing that helps you clean your bearings. I talked to a guy who keeps his Super Reds going for 2 years a set by cleaning them.

I just wanna know if there are better bearings for the price? I don't really wanna drop a ton of money on bearings, I don't need to go super fast, I just want em go fast and last a while.

super reds are pretty good. not swiss. but noticebly faster then normal reds (to me).. not sure they'll last any longer then normal reds though. if you dont wanna "drop" money on swiss. i would stick with reds. just clean em out every six months. or pop them shields and go nuts.

I just bought a new setup and the trucks (thunders) need to be broken in. I think i read on here that some people boil their bushings to make em break in faster. Anybody who can confirm this?

.......just ride them

It would honestly be more work for me to take apart my trucks, boil the bushing, and reinstall them.

If you are that concerned with break-in time, just buy bones bushings; they'll break in within an hour.

Just stick with Reds. Or go for any American made bearing if you're looking for the best quality.
Here, watch this. Though the dude in the vid is kinda kooky (if anyone remembers, this is the same dude who did that video on how to make your board "better" by putting lead tape on your board), he really does know what he is talking about here and speaks some truth.

So how can I get some spacers? I've never seen them for sale by themselves, they always just come with bearings. Except Bones doesn't include them with Reds.

Check some longboarding site, Those guys focus a lot on wheels (and their gear in general) so I imagine they'd sell em.

Also, Thanks so much to the guy who posted that bearings video, the guy in the video is a kook but seems to know his shit and is really helpful. I'm watching his video now about fixing a chipped deck.

I don't want to order from a longboarding site, don't want my credit card and name associated with that shit. Unless they have discreet billing like porn sites.

I just watched that one about halfway through before giving up. Holy shit, what a pain in the ass. It'd be quicker to just work an extra couple hours and buy a new deck. The chip wasn't even that bad, I'd just keep skating it as it was, really.

why? it's still skateboarding... Just a different type of board. Like a road bike vs. a mountain bike.

The more people skateboarding, the better. Not everyone has to ride them same way.

You guys are really insecure.

Well I was mostly kidding, but it turns out I had some spacers in an old box full of miscellaneous hardware and stuff anyway, so I'm good to go.  ;)

Get them.  Only problem is the pivot cup tends to get fucked up, but other then that they're the best.

keep having problems with my back truck. it's hard to tighten or loosen, like it's hard to get at the kingpin nut. its happened to my last two sets of indys, i don't ride them tight so its not the nut sticking to far out. anyone else have this problem?

never had that problem. is it just like too tight to move, or worn down enough that you cant grip it with a tool?

i like my indys factory tighted. i never even touch the kingpin nut
