Saw The Pogues in Boston a year ago, Shane Macgowan would go in the back between songs and drink, by the end of the show he was fucking up the words to the songs and had to get the Stage-Hand to help him around.

I'll be another who'll say Dinosaur Jr. The show I saw with My Bloody Valentine opening is still probably my favorite ever. 1992.

also-

The Jesus Lizard every time.
Oblivians in the 90's was fucking killer
Stereolab
Black Sabbath @ Ozzfest 1997 oh FUCK.
Sonic Youth a bunch of times, with lots of cool openers - Pavement, Harry Pussy, The Make-Up, Comets On Fire
Sleep last year was pretty great
Harvey Milk a shitload in the 90s as well. Great fucking band.
Tony Conrad and Gastr Del Sol was wild.
Purling Hiss was the last show that really peeled my wig back.

someone mentioned Moon Duo, I'd love to see 'em. Great fucking records, man. Ripley is so, so good.

I went to Gogol Bordello and System of a Down in Mountain View last night. It wasn't the best show I've been to, but it was probably top 5. I was disappointed at how many System fans weren't even standing up for Gogol. I actually had a lady ask me to sit down because I was standing for Gogol and enjoying their stuff/ supporting them. I told her, "This is a concert; you stand up at concerts." Bitch walked away disappointed and two dudes in front of me stood up. Then everybody stood up for system so I won that battle. hahaha

One of my favorites had to be the Meth and Red concert I went. The energy those two have together is crazy fun to watch. Stage diving and champagne/buckets of waters getting poured on the crowd, so much fun.

Saw Wu-Tang at Rock the Bells and even though the seats sucked, I think just the anticipation of finally seeing them after years of wanting to was the best!

The only Gogol Bordello concert Ive ever been to was so amazing, everyone was going wild. System of a Down is a really weird band to be at the same venue.

Black Lips probably ties Gogol Bordello for most fun. I got so sloppy at Black Lips.

Yeah they were a kind of weird combo, but I'd seen Gogol before and thought they were amazing live so I was really stoked they were opening. They didn't seem as good at mountain view, but it was probably just because they didn't play really long and and din't have as many fans at that show. I've seen them twice before in a smallish bar/club and both times were definitely the best small shows I've ever been too. Ridiculously fun.

About a month ago I saw the best show I have ever been too. Titus Andronicus played at this club in Toronto called the horse shoe and added Fucked Up to the bill day of. It was seriously amazing. I like Fucked Up, but never would have really tried to go to a show with them headlining, but those two bands together brought the fucking house down. My ears rang for 2 days. It ruled. Same venue, 4 years back I saw Lady Hawk at around 3 in the morning for this weekend festival. That time slot ensured that everyone was shit canned and it was wild as all hell.

Daft Punk put on one of the coolest big stage shows I have ever seen.

Brian Jonestown Massacre played a 2 and a half hour set when I saw them. They played until they were asked to stop. I had to leave before it was finished to catch the last subway.

I also saw the Kings of Leon when touring their first album. Say what you want about them now, but back then they were raw as fuck. I remember having an amazing time at that show.

Bloc Party : they played real good and their best song . And the crowd was nuts , good vibe and about 80% of us knew most lyrics . The singer often stopped singing and held out the mic and smiled . You could feel the love

Millencolin : Seen them afew times , each times its fucking amazing , real catchy songs and ive been listening to them for almost 15 years , the crowd knows the songs and the dancing was nuts , really good positive vibe

Vampire Weekend : was a hot summer day , and just the slightest summer rain , I was drunk , met some old friends , good music .

Streetlight Manifesto: Its ska , how can it not be a good concert ?

Dillinger Escape plan :  Sang along to what you could , got up on stage 2 times , second time I had my arm around the singer jumping with him and then getting pushed down , crowd surfed , right amount of alcohol

Dropkick Murphys: Had a hot date , got drunk with her , danced with her , got up on stage for the last song and saw my date in the crowd .
