yeah, good point. Still, its hard to say.
[close]

brandon westgate seems to be doing pretty well for himself so i would like to think lenny would too.
[close]
Are you trying to compare Brandon Westgate's style to Lennie's? That's an insult to both of them!
[close]

im just saying they both have really good non-textbook styles. if people can dig westgate's why couldnt they dig kirk's?
Because Lennie's style is wild as fuck. His arms are always going every which way, he doesn't really land stuff "bolts" a lot of the time, he's just out there. Westgate has an original style, but its not a sort of style you could love or hate.

not clean at all... But pure raw skating at its finest.  The sketchiness adds something to it that wouldnt be there if it was done by prod or some shit.

Agreed! I love a dude like P Rod too, but a world where kids just have P Rod style would get dull. I've never been an "anti-robot" guy, but I wonder if a Lennie type of today would get passed over because of that. I don't know though now that I think about it, there definitely are dudes like Sammy Baca and half the damn slave team keeping that cool sketchiness alive.
sidenote: anybody remember like right around when baker2g came out and all sorts of dumb little kids would intentionally slump over and drag their hand on the ground to look like Greco or Trainwreck? God that was bad.

Kalis is such a rad dude. He's so down for skateboarding, no matter where you're from or who you are. I just watched an old Daykare video (local Michigan video) and he's even got some tricks in that.

Frontside flip on flat and a back noseblunt fakie?

noo way. as long as theyre on a company everyone loves no one would really be against either of them. thered be a 10 pg thread everytime lennie would post a bible verse on twitter or got into some insane situation saying he needs help like antuwan or something.

Its funny how most dudes are filmed at home/out somewhere, and jt is filmed at black box in some corporate sterile environment. O'dell pushing the roles hard

Are people regular? Isn't his whole epicly later'd enough inside stuff? I'd get pretty frusterated be asked to answer such stupid questions in a thread that I didn't volunteer to answer questions in if I were Kalis.

Its not really funny at all. Jamie Thomas is a workaholic, Dyrdek and Kalis jus chillin'.... LOLZ DOOD

I think you're reading into this last episode too much.
Sorry, sometimes I get overly defensive on that point.

With new knowledge naturally comes new curiousity and questions. Nothing wrong with wanting to ask more questions to take advantage of the situation, Kalis doesn't have to answer them. I see what you are saying to some degree though, these are pretty off topic.
Its still pretty sick to be able to watch the videos and come on here and ask Kalis questions about it. People can talk smack about slap all they want, opportunities like this don't come up everywhere.

Yo... to all...

Im glad you guys are enjoying the stories.
Lennie is out for now... he still has a court date, so who knows if he can stay out... or will have to go back in. I haven't seen him.. but have talked to him a few times. He seems to be doing pretty good.. and is in good spirits.

Lennie is a good friend of mine.. we've been through a ton of shit together.. so its rad that i can put his story out there.. and let some of the kids who might not have heard of him, research and check out his earlier stuff.

Im not sure whats next... maybe Philly(Love Days)?? I don't know... i don't get to see the episodes before they air.. so your guess is as good as mine.

Anyway.. thanks for watching!

please tell me theres gonna be atleast a little chicago
[close]

Truthfully.. im not sure. I don't remember if i talked much about it. Plus.. Chicago is my little private get away!! I wouldn't really want to let the cat out of the bag about how ill it is...

CUDDLEMONSTER...

Both times i lived there.. i was in Wicker Park. The first time it was a complete Latin Kings hood(Chicago and Damen). They would constantly check me everytime i crossed Division street. They kept taking my DC jackets. They didn't like the fact that a rival gang Deciple Crips used the same lettering. I would have to buy a bag a weed a week off them just for them to give me a pass.

The later time i lived there i rented a room in the Skate loft on Milwaukee just down the street from the "6 Corners". The loft used to be right above Uprise at their first location. Wicker Park had changed so much. By that time.. it was all yuppies and very minimal gang shit. It was strange.

i feel ya
