I wonder what Kalis thinks of Greco. Considering his whole hatred for the word hammer.

I really like Greco.... he's a G.

My problem isn't people doing "hammers"... Its expected.. and i like seeing people push themselves.
I actually like the "who did what" rumors... and i like the fact that if you lay it down on some famous shit.... someone should respect that
and try something different.

My issue with "hammers" is the way it turned into kids just wanting to do them. Before learning fundamentals, cruising, being able to put
dope lines together. That type of shit. Gino shit, Kareem, Carroll, Guys part in Mouse is the perfect example...

I like the artistic and creative side more than i like the hammer side. And for a few years now there has been so much focus on "hammers" it reminds me of a freestyle motorcross event, rather than watching them free ride in the dunes or mountains. Weird comparison, i know. But i like watching Crusty Demons of dirt videos.

...pretty sure I have posted this story before on here but it is relevant to this thread. back in like 98/99 Lennie would be in New York skating Newport a lot. He would  usually roll with a bible. One night, Poppalardo was there too...Lenny starts talking to him about the bible, Jesus, whatever. Out of nowhere, Mike Wright (the USA Mike Wright) throws his bible into the East River

And then what? Coming in here with a half assed story and shit.

that's all I recall...I think I would have remembered if they had gotten into a fight or some shit like that

Yeah I see people all the time come into skating and then just quit because they wanna get straight to 360 flips and stuff like that. A friend of mine even quit skating like two times already because he would try 3 flips and double flips all day and never landed them because he never took the time out to learn kickflips first.

Yes we all do and those are the people destroying skateboarding. Its said because every time on laterd if they said if it was easier filming back then the pros say yeah because they werent any hammers/enders and now kids expect 3 flips to late 540 shuv or some shit off of a 30 foot drop. When i can watch gonzs blind days video and still get hyped with him cruising around doing boardslides and shredding curbs. Anyway kalis's laterd is very good, with all the footage and such its up there with daewons laterd and that was very great. Very entertaining stuff and since i was young in the 90s any old footage is basically new too me so it blows my mind.

Kalis's Epicly Later'd has to be one of the best ones made, but the new episode was just off the charts, getting to hear all the stuff about Lennie was amazing, I remember buying Timecode and watching it and his part came on and it was mindblowing in its skating and how it was put together, so dope hearing all those Lennie stories. Anyways I can't wait for the next one,the whole Kalis's series is just pure piff.

Josh, how did  you avoid death or arrest reaching speeds up to 190mph on public highways? What radar detector do you think is better: Valentine One or Escort 9500ix? Do you have any Getaway In Stockholm-type stories you can share?

damn i skimmed through and she said how she was a little bipolar.... josh has anyone ever brought lennie to get checked out or properly diagnosed? i know that its tough and sometimes the truth hurts more, but it would maybe be in everyone's interest to see if theres something out there to help him live out his life without his inner demons? i know im being way too intrusive and talking outta my ass, but it sucks to see that and not really see him get the help he needs, or even knowing if he does need help, maybe its not something doctors can fix, but at least its worth knowing? i wish the best to lennie, and hope he really sees the light this time

From the first time I saw him, I thought it was obvious that Westgate is basically a new & improved version of Huf - from his looks to his style, to the spots he skates.

Kalis is such a rad dude. He's so down for skateboarding, no matter where you're from or who you are. I just watched an old Daykare video (local Michigan video) and he's even got some tricks in that.

First time I saw him I thought he was a warlock. Huge head, little body. I have footage somewhere of him dropping in from an 8ft quarter while sitting in a cardboard box. He rules.
