I think i've been skating too much in a row. Past 2 weeks almost everyday on a skateboard, i think my legs are way too tired. Even 2 deck ollie gives me a big challenge. Before 4 was normal. Flips, popshuvits, nothing "pops" enymore well like i couldnt stamp the tail hard enuff against the ground. I had 1 day vacation from skating, but it didnt effect much. Next day 15minutes of skating and i was tired again as hell. But also when i go skating, im skating all day. Like 5 hours straight.

So how often you go skating and for how long you keep trying?

At least 4 hours everyday and I haven't missed a day in like 2 months since the weather got good. I don't really get tired unless we do a weekend super sesh from 12pm til 9pm or so... I just get more hungry/thirsty.

probably 5 or 6 days a week. At least a couple hours on those days

I get out for at least half an hour every day, and a lot more on the weekends.

same thing used to happen to me because i would go out and try to do big shit right away, so i started building up slowly now every time i skate so my body is comfortable enough. now i dont get tired so much

i skate as long as the weather permits. usually 5-6 hours if not more. even on the days i don't skate, i'll at the very least take the cruiser out or whatever. my feet are always itching and i have an endless supply of energy so gotta find a way to release it or i'll explode. watching me skate(not really the tricks i'm doing), you would never think i'm as old as i am.

As often as possible. For me, that's around six days per week. My usual sessions are probably two to three hours during the week, and five or six on the weekends.

yep, that's what's now stuck in my fucking head this morning thanks to this thread title. and yeah, give it a rest bud.. if you insist on skating, do stuff that doesn't require super pop. practice mannys or something, i don't know. stretch/warm up too, it'll make more and more of a difference with every day that passes.

Well it's pretty hard in Michigan. But no matter how cold in the winter, or humid in the summer, if the ground is dry, we're skating.

I've never heard of skating "too much".

I try to skate everyday for at least an hour or two...spring is always a low point for me because my allergies reduce my lungs to around 30% capacity so I can't do much of anything strenuous. I still cruise around though. Once summer hits it'll be longer more frequent sessions, especially days when I don't have work or class.

It gets harder when you are quickly approaching 40 years old. We have 2 vert sessions a week & I never miss one. I usually need a couple days in between sessions to give my knees a rest. Getting old sucks but skating at my age is rad.

Back when I was in high school I would skate everyday for a couple hours. Then all day on the weekends. I miss that so much. Now I skate about 5 times a week for an hour or 2. But right now it seems like it's never going to stop raining and it is driving me crazy. Just stop jeez!

i used to skate every day as soon as the sun went down, but my last two set-ups got stolen, and i'm too poor to get a new one, so i'm stuck with "whenever someone has a spare i can skate"

I think skating every other day is what works best for me. Having fresh legs is key.
Sadly, I get tempted and end up getting a quick sesh everyday.

randomly thru the week. as long as a few people are down ill go even if im not feeling it. weekends are the best because of the dumb shit that usually goes down later in the evening.
