So I've been skating for about 12 years, and the first eight or so years, I had skated mongo. I'm goofy, but the left foot just felt fine to me. After I started to get into my mid teens, everyone started saying that I should stop pushing mongo, and I ignored them or told them that that's what feels comfortable. This went on for years until I started to film and I saw how disgusting mongo looks, especially with me. So, after two weeks of pushing with the right foot, I'm proud to say I've been pushing with the right foot for the last four years.
But then I noticed something. People in the industry have stated that mongo's bad and nobody who's in the industry skates pushing mongo, and I was heckled for a while for pushing it and everything. So why don't people who push mongo switch apply to the same thing? I mean, personally, I think it's weird that so many people can get down on me for pushing mongo, but make excuses when I point out that they're doing it switch. It's just as hard to do it switch as it is to learn how to push right regular. So somebody tell me, why do you hate mongo pushing, but don't learn to push normal yourselves? Or if you agree with me, why?
