Anyway, point is, sex scandals are the "gotcha questions" of politics, they have nothing to do with anything, and are more of a result of people hating the person who is accused for other reasons than the actual conduct itself 9 times out of 10.

Meanwhile, the American Family Association/Louisiana Family Forum's law breaking, diaper wearing fuckstick Vitter is being defended by fellow conservatives (as well as the GOP chair) because it's "old news" and other non-responses. "Conduct unbecoming." People don't vote on issues, they vote on name recognition. Celebrity in politics is almost never bad, but he wouldn't have gotten reelected because of the weirdness of the text/image exchanges and their wide dissemination. Had to happen.

Frankly, the party probably likes not having him in general, in the same way they're probably glad that Grayson got voted out. Liberals are basically considered an extreme fringe of the party now.

Yep, America's fucked. We are getting fucked by conservative policies, so what do we do? Move further to the right.
It's not even debatable. Bush was a major right wing shift, he fucked us. We took a minor shift to the left with Obama, the right wing media gave him 6 months, than started crying about how everybody worshipped him and nobody was blaming the economy on him. Then everybody decided an extreme right shift with the tea party. Its ridiculous, America is fucking itself over and our only solution is to continue fucking ourselves over. It completely blows my mind. Americans are fucking morons. I'd move somewhere else, but the magnitude of our empire means that when the U.S. fucks up, the rest of the world feels it.
