Achant? is a great film about voodoo in Haiti.  And all of the music is by Zammuto (previous member of The Books).  It's not quite a documentary but more of just a showing of these bizarre lives.

A 1 hour documentary about one of the favorite targets of conspiracy theorists, the Rothschilds. Apparently based on the book by Niall Ferguson, who did the PBS series, The Ascent of Money.

The house of Rothschild - the Money's prophets - full 56min

Inside Job is top notch amazing, really enjoyed it, definitely required viewing for anybody with the slightest interest in the 2008 financial crash and why we're stuck in a deep recession at the moment.

If you liked that, check out Client 9 : The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer, which is about the guy in the poster frame of the Youtube clip from Inside Job.  Full on sketchy/completely wrong situation where the head goons of the likes of Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, AIG Insurance put the oar in to get rid of somebody they knew was trying to drag them down.  Politics is dirty at the best of times.

KNUCKLE Trailer
Entertaining documentary about Irish bare knuckle boxing between family's. The accents are so thick the movie has to have subtitles most of the way through.

How do you find these families and then decide, "I'm going to make a movie about this."?

forks over knives - 2 doctors that cure cancer by simply changing peoples diets . . (had to download off tpb)

collapse - dude worked for the FBI sitting in a room smoking cigs telling all the fucked up stuff he's experienced. He also talks about how the economy is already fucked because of "peak oil." (Netflix insta watch)

food inc - shows the fucked up conditions majority of our meat is manufactured in. Also tells how Montisanto patented the soy bean and puts any farmer out of business that doesn't use theirs by suing for copy-write infringement. (Netflix insta watch)

guns germs & steal - national geographic simply explaining how USA gained so much power and was able to defeat everyone when we first arrived here. (Netflix insta)

burzynski - doctor cures like over 400 patients of cancer and cannot get his treatment passed by the FDA despite his evidence. (Netflix insta)

also this
http://billmoyers.com/episode/full-show-how-big-banks-are-rewriting-the-rules-of-our-economy/

I highly reccomend all of these. None of them are fueled with propaganda and I am not a vegan/veggie.
Enjoy!

Expand Your Consciousness!!!Expand Your Consciousness!!!Expand Your Consciousness!!!
KYMATICA - FULL LENGTH MOVIE - Expand Your Consciousness!!!

Whatever it's intentions may be, this film is massively incoherent despite it's abundant use of images, quotations, and stock footage.  The veracity of  films like the Zeitgeist series have been questioned by many people and have come under serious scrutiny from laymen and academics. Many would not really consider them to be documentaries at all. But if they inspire you, go ahead and enjoy them. However, see for yourself if the  information given checks out even after minimal research.

For example, in that video Kymatica, the narrator tries to tell us that a 'certificate' is by definition a document that certifies the ownership of something (then it goes on about the sinister implications of 'birth certificates'). But after just a quick search I found this definition as well, "a document testifying to the truth of something". That was just using common sense.  Take the information given in these videos with a grain of salt if you must, but like I mentioned before, there are those who would say that these sorts of videos don't really live up to the standards of an actual documentary. Of course that doesn't mean that there isn't any wisdom to be gleaned from watching them.

^^^ Was hoping it'd play in the independent theater in town but no dice. Here's a link I just found if you want to watch it streaming:

Just watched this and really enjoyed it. This might have me watching all the documentaries on netflix again.

watch "word wars". its a documentary about pro scrabble players.. pretty awesome. some dudes just live and breath it and practice nonstop and some of the other dudes are just naturally brilliant and kill it without trying.

in this one part theres 3 dudes in a hotel the night before the national championship and 2 guys are practicing in the hotel all night but another dude goes and gets a hooker haha. then he shows up ten minutes late to his game the next day and still slays the guy he plays.

I watched Word Wars a few months ago. It was amazing. if you liked that watch "Wordplay". Really similar, but with the New York Times crossword puzzles.

Wordplay Movie, Jon Stewart, Bill Clinton, Will Shortz
