BBC documentary called "stadiums of hate"

About "fans" of soccer teams and their racism in Poland and Ukra?ne, the two countries that host the European Championship starting this friday. Incredibly scary that there are still people like that. And at one point the journalist interviews the chief of police of a major city in Ukra?ne and his reply is just... You have to see it to believe it.

It's 25 minutes and really flies by.

I watched Stadiums of hate recently. That shit is crazy, makes me wonder if shit is going to get wild at Euro 2012. I used to live in Germany and I never really saw any craziness from Football Hooligans like that, and I used to be right by the Stadium a lot.

Yeah, thanks for that. My cousin went to Ukraine before the cup started and I sent him a link as he was posting up pictures of swastikas and stuff that he found there. Said he bumped into a few skinhead types.

Here's another link.

This documentary is very biased and one sided in it's trying to bring out racism in Ukraine in Poland and it's a shame. Soccer hooligans are basically what they have for gangs and organized "crime" in those countries aside from the mafia. Of course these groups are compromised of ignorant racist fucks but what they did with these documentaries is like going to the middle of Alabama in search of some bull riding fair - yes, you will find members of the KKK.

Of course it exists but this documentary irks me having lived in Poland and spent extensive time in Ukraine. I had black friends, Asian friends, Spanish friends, etc... there and I never encountered any problems nor did they. I even went to a few futball games and will say I saw a couple of dumbasses in neurotic shirts but that's basically any sporting event.  What about that guy who skateboarded that recently got beat to death outside of the dodger stadium? It's scarier to think about here in the states because these same ignorant folk can get their hands on guns.

Herzog always coming correct.

My favourite moment was when Herzog asked the priest to tell him a story about the Racoon.

Can anyone find me a torrent to this?

Searching for Sugar Man is beautiful. Heard of his music in Lost and Found for the first time and the story is really remarkable.

Quote
In the fall of 2005, two filmmakers invited six men across America to join them in an experiment.

They would all stop shaving for six months. No trimming allowed. Each was provided a video camera and weekly interview questions to document his own experience. The resulting 600 hours of intimate footage revealed a group of men traversing the same rite of passage from disparate vantage points.

Throughout the process, the men told stories from their pasts, shared likes and dislikes, and confessed personal fears and aspirations. They laughed and cried, hid and came alive behind their beards.

The tireless taping captured bad days and good ones, and it is in this framework that the individual stories stand out and the beards fade into the background.

From a son dealing with his father?s descent into Alzheimer?s, to financial and marital struggles, to the birth of a child, The Winter of The Beard reveals the trials and tribulations of what it means to drastically alter one?s appearance and otherwise go on living life.

Magic Johnson and Larry Bird

Easily one of the best sports documentaries ever.
