 you cant blame berrics for that shit... i had a kid come up to me at a park asking me what my top 2 ams that should be pro were, and when i asked him he said micky papa and felipe gustavo. Neither of which have even had any real coverage on the berrics.

 Kids know how to use the fucking internet. Sponsors are constantly throwing out web clips of up and comming skaters. When i told the kid I thought wes kremer should def be pro, he didnt even know who he was. Theres tons of amazing skaters like MJ who have been crushing it for so long, but kids who just started skating have never heard of legends like MJ, all they hear about is the skaters that sponsors are pushing out. Shane oniell gets a fuck ton of coverage, hes been on the berrics alot, beibles world, his own youtube page, etc etc etc... theres tons of clips of him all the time on the internet, so kids get a heavy dose of shane oniell while never hearing about MJ, so what do you expect?

 While i do think berra is a kook for trying to make it sound like hes the angel thats saving skateboarding, the site is objectively beneficial for skaters. Every recruit/battlecommander gets millions of views, and theres no fucking way you can spin that to the negative. And its not just skaters like shane oniell or cory kennedy that get all the attention on the berrics, unknown guys, or people who dont get alot of attention are also up there (lois tolentino, nick mclouth, kelly hart, etc etc etc). I dont see how people can make appreciation threads and threads to put people on company x, then hate when that same person gets coverage on the berrics. I cant hate on that. That factor alone makes up for all berras kookery and lame shit he posts on the berrics. Ohh and batbs have been fucking amazing

I need a new jigsaw. Any recommendations? My last one burned out after about 5 years which, if you ask me, is not long enough. Power tools used to be so durable. I had my moms old drill from the age of 7 to about 19 or 20 and it was already 10 years old when I got it.

 For me seeing tricks filmed down the same spot over and over gets boring, same park gets DEAD BORING. Skateboarding for me is mostly about discovering new spots. I used to watch footage there for 2-3 months but i got bored to death and i havent even watched a single thing since BATB 1.

i really don't think corded vs battery powered tools last any longer.... of course, eventually batteries go bad, but a quality cordless tool from dewalt, milwaukee, or bosch will serve you well and last a long time. but price goes up beyond what you wanna pay for those anyway.... you can probably find a makita or a milwaukee if you're willing to spend $125-150.... hitachi makes a decent one for under $100.  

and the hitachi looks all alien vs predator and shit, too....

Well, if I have to pay more than that to get something that lasts and is a good quality I will. What would you recommend? I mean, I don't want to pay $500 but there has to be something under that which will last.

I like a cordless impact driver and cordless recip, but that's about it. The batteries don't have a super long shelf life and cost more than the tools themselves which sucks when they go out. That said the Makita LTX series of cordless tools are pretty badass.

As a rule Makita, Dewalt, Bosch, Milwaukee are all pretty good. I have a couple Rigid tools too that got super good ratings and were priced right. Also Rigid has the best warrantee by far, you just have to make sure and register your too when you buy it.

Thanks for the help as well. I got a Dewalt drill recently and am pretty happy with it. I went through 3 drills in the past 7 years or so and finally decided to put some money into a decent drill. Want to do the same for a jigsaw. Slap really is a wealth of information!
