Really? People actually dislike someone for what kind of shoes they wear? This is pretty superficial stuff, there are bigger things in the world to worry about.
The strangest part to me is that I bet if he went to Nike nobody would care, or they'd be stoked.
This coming from the guy who has "Support your LOCAL skate shop" as his avatar. Pretty sure the whole argument is "core vs corp," which is the same as a local shop vs zumiez, basically.

So you're saying it makes sense to stop hanging out with one of your buddies if he buys a pair of DC shoes? Same thing, different scale.
Don't try to point out hypocrisy that doesn't exist, I don't care either, that's the point. People are actually expressing hostile feelings over someone they don't know deciding to wear a different kind of shoes. Maybe I wouldn't make that kind of decision, and I like Lakai WAY more than DC (hence my post a couple more up), but in the end it's his decision if he wants to move on and for all anyone here knows there are things going on behind the scene other than $$ that motivated him to leave.
It's not core vs. corp in this situation, which is why I pointed out how nobody would care if he went to Nike. It's what's trendy to like versus what's trendy to hate in a lot of these situations.
