i fully acknowledge that comparing one skateboarder to another is whack as fuck. i am also fully aware that both of these dudes are thoroughly legendary, but reynolds all day everyday, that dude lives and breathes skateboarding... not nike and oakley...

I wouldn't even compare Reynolds to an orange. Maybe a Lychee? I'm just not sure he should be in the same fruit bowl as THE apple (not to be confused with Apples).

i dont get the comparison here. both skate street but both skate it in very different ways. generally speaking koston is more tech and reynolds goes bigger. not to say they don't cross over into tech/ big because they do. am i allowed to like both equally?

Kinda hard, after Yeah Right came out, which was about the same time This is Skateboarding came out, I would've said Koston might've had the slight edge because of his ender, but over the past years, Reynolds kept going bigger and harder, while Koston never matched that same level of ridiculousness

Yea Reynolds Definitly takes skateboarding a little more seriously than Koston it seems, Reynolds stay gold part may have been the best he could do, Kostons Fully Flared part for Koston I felt wasn't him at his best.

I love Koston, but AR has been killing it the past few years. Building/running one of the most successful brands/distros out (I have no clue how hands on he is in day to day operations) and putting out tons of footage and parts. Baker has a DW was free a promo and his part is amazing. I also like how he keeps learning/perfecting new tricks and not just FS flipping everything in site. It's cool to see someone get more tech in their "old age." He puts out some almost Koston level ledge lines.

Thinking about how much Reynolds loves skating makes me want to skate. Koston has never really had that effect on me, regardless of the undeniable talent. I love watching both skate, but Reynolds. Every time.

I'm no Baker/DW fan boy, but I always thought was cool about Baker/DW is the diversity of the skating and personalities. I love Girl/Choc but, with the exception of a few dudes they are pretty homogeneous skating and personality-wise. At least that's how it comes across to me. Baker videos are funny when you see the team hanging out in non-skate settings.

You got your 35 year old straight edge owner/legenday pro, Baca and Lizard doing their thing, TK having reality shows, Theotis and his NASCAR sponsor kit, Lenoce doing whatever he does, Beagle with his white guy fro, Twan tatting his face and getting arrested, Spanky hipstering it up. It really is a lot going on.

I really don't get this "Reynolds loves skating more" and "Reynolds is more serious" arguments. Reynolds is gnarly but that's about it. Koston is deep in skating. Reynolds lost his style after The End.
