search for The 50th Law by Robert Green & 50 Cent. Seriously a great self-help book that explains how to obtain true power in life through certain principles. they compare how these same principles helped 50 Cent and many other powerful & influential  people in achieving greatness. it really is some deep, intellectual stuff that you can use in your own life. i know you can find a torrent with the audio version on thepiratebay

Just get a kindle and every book you get can be read aloud by the thing in the most monotone robot voice.  You can borrow books from the library onto kindle at least where I'm at.

i've been listening to the shining by stephen king at work and to be honest its not that great. i have read the actual book before so i know how it goes but its killing the story that i can't give the characters voices. also with someone else reading it the horror simply isn't there. I remember the chapters with the dead lady in the bathtub being pretty full on but on tape it was nothing........... i could go on, there are a lot of things i felt worked when i read them but on tape do not. maybe horror doesn't suit books on tape.

Search for any old book on here. They only record public domain books, which I think is anything older than 70 years.
I thought it wasnt just him solo, shouldve stuck with my og thought.

World War Z is, hands down, the best audiobook ever produced.  They have multiple voices for the characters including John Turturro, Henry Rollins and Alan Alda.
Came to post the same thing. Listened to it a few time after reading it, the voice acting makes up for how off the movie's gonna be. Mark Hamill was in there too!

i'll be honest, that sounds terrible. When I bought my car, there was an book on tape version of snow falling on cedars read by BD Wong chilling under the back set. He's the gay scientist from the jurassic park. its okay at best.

I went to college an 8+ hours drive from my parents house and used to always rock books on tape/CD/MP3.  Doing that drive at the beginning of the year, thanksgiving, Christmas, and at the end of the year was tough.  It's a great way to zone out.  My local library has a huge selection.  I need to start listening at work.

^Heard that Robert Greene's books are banned from prison libraries. The Art of Seduction specifically.

The only book on tape I've listened to...
