I don't like to lump and generalize people - even in a positive way. A lot of people on here talk about people who play organized sports are just jocks, meaheads, etc. But that's just not true. There are a ton of guys who play those sports because they love them, live them, and breathe them just like some skaters do with skating.

Skateboarding is so popular and glamorized nowadays that you find so many people picking it up because they think it looks cool. Then a year, two, or three years goes by and they've quit. You also see a ton of bandwagon-ing and sheepism in skateboarding. So many skaters try too hard to be like what they feel is the quintessential skater - talk, walk, clothes, and even trick selection.

Point is, I have to go to work so I have to cut this short, but there are good genuine skaters and then there are shitty ones...just like every group of people. I think we are able to connect with other skaters easily just because skateboarding is such a big part of our lives and it's cool to interact with someone who sees what you love in the same way.
