Adding his This Is My Element part, which has my favorite Odd Nosdam track from the entire video. The Logic part is sick too. Great skater.

Random, but I remember getting this video for free with a Unicron order (Thanks Mikendo)

I will never forget, I saw Mike Barker chillin at a Huf demo in NYC. It was the first time in a long time that I fanned out from afar in a loooong time. This was long after he seemingly disappeared from "the industry"

His Feel Free part gets me so hyped to skate

can't believe I sold this DVD to one of you Slappers

Lol. Eldee is definitely a human. He’s like a raider on horse back who’s kinda scared to do battle. Somehow he closes his eyes and swings his sword wildly and wakes up in a pile of dead orcs.

for whatever reason, i love seeing savier's in old footage. have always been a ba stan, and remember wanting a pair badly after seeing that he was on the team.

anyone in the know as to what derailed his skate career? always thought he was really talented and expected him to get a little bit more light than he did.

I think it was just bad luck with sponsors, HYPE! folded and Es kicked everyone off at that point. Dude did pretty well though, he had that 411vm ‘Meet The Barkers’, skated for Judah (Satva’s company) and put out a whole heap of solid parts. He would’ve suited Habitat. Pretty sure he became an architect.

The logic part was one of the first videos I ever saw. Loved everything he put out.

Hyped to see an old thread of mine bumped.

He was on HYPE! As well along with Texas legend Jeremy Holmes, I think that was his last sponsor before he faded into real life, dude had a cool float style and I enjoyed his output

that 411 part still rules. always loved that song, too.

i remember him saying in an interview that he was more influenced by east coast skating than west coast even though he grew up with p-rod and mike taylor in the valley. you can definitely see it.

I just searched Mike Barker because I wanted to post his T.I.M.E part. Glad you're hyped.

Need more ancient threads bumped.

Nothing really derailed it. He was a smart dude and went to school for architecture. Now he has a good career and life.

Yep, always thought this was the case. Seems like a solid switched on fella.

So many great switch handrail tricks. He didn’t skate rails too often, but when he did, damn!

Try find a better switch pop shuv than his second last trick in that logic part (down the P-rod double set). You can’t.

savier almost seems like a myth at this point. they lasted for such a short time but i always thought those shoes looked rad.

they folded before i could even get a pair

I completely forgot that this dude was on Element and had a part in "This Is My Element".

Always loved watching his floaty switch style.

makes total sense. i have little to no insight into his personal life, happy to hear he called it and focused on a career outside of skating.

I skated one pair as a little kid and they were so proper... and then Savier folded into early Nike SB. They were way ahead of their time.

Nike SB feels so far removed now from that wavelength.

I like the sketchiness in some of the lines when he's trying to fit pushes in between two tricks. Then just sending massive switch pop shuv-its.

What is the technique for painting white soles black in that perfectly distressed way.

True... seeing Mike Barker with the perfectly worn, painted sole reminded me of how common it was back then. Reynolds has been rocking it recently too.

Great upload. Haven't seen this part in ages. Dude had effortless style. Who had the guest trick with a back smith on a handrail in the middle of the part? P-rod?
