If you're not paying Drehobl and giving him a shoe, then you are not.

I guess.... I was just talking to the marketing guys from CONS and they're both on flow.
I'm still trying to see Zered get fully on.

thrasher's recently been putting out a vox tour series

"Where the Vox are we!" -Europe Pt 3

but after seeing gravis putting kevin terpening on and still calling the company quits days later, who knows

I just want everyone to know that I'm only 32.8% skateboarder, and that's on a good day. The rest is just soy and cum.

Sort of, in the fact that both of those make quality goods and have pretty much unlimited marketing.  VOX always had a reputation for putting out subpar products, not usually a good selling point with consumers.  That being said, the only VOX I ever had were a pair of Troopers.  I liked them, but they really did fall apart extremely fast...and I'm not even good.

I feel like a lot of 'core' brands just floated along and thought they were safe because they were skater owned and therefore skateboarders will have some loyalty to them.

Then adidas and Nike came along and started putting out higher quality products and that fucked up a lot of smaller brands.  Look at Lakai, they've just within the last year started making shoes that don't feel like wet cardboard after two weeks.

it really is a pity, but the pairs of adidas and nikes that i had were just overall better than the skater owned brand shoes that i had this year. deklines look good and have a good boardfeel, but they are too stiff around the ankle. habitats blew apart within a week, which isnt normal for me.
signature as well

When will this age old banter and bashing end?
It's a choice, not everyone has the same barometer for why they purchase something?
To each their own. Quality, price, legitimacy whatever.
We all have our reasons.

Never had a pair myself, but any Ive seen have looked pretty decent on whichever skater it is Ive seen in person with them.
Isnt VOX what 88 footwear turned into?they had a strange image and a great team I thought.
I'm going to argue that Placebo owes their entire career to a Canadian dude's skate video part. Appleyard should be getting royalties for this shit.

I had a pair of vox that I got on sale that were ok. The soles are kind weird and go bald pretty quick.

And they got really beat up looking really quickly. So I took the laces out and now they're just chill shoes. They're pretty comfortable though.

I had a pair of the Hewitts and wasn't impressed in the least. That said, I'd still rather see a skate brand stay afloat as opposed to seeing "dignified athletic brands" rape, pillage, and plunder. But fuck it, this shit's been gone over a billion times.

Their website is the worst.

What is the point of having a website when there's so many mistakes in the coding?

I had the half cab-ish hewitts and though they were alright. A friend of mine had a few pairs of troopers and really liked them. VOX seems like Fallen but with less money. DUFFY though! DUFFY!

Yeah, I got the ones with the fabric, not the full suede ones. Stupid choice.
