Is there bonus footage or anything extra on the DVD?

Yeah, I got a copy the other day and finally just got a chance to sit down and watch everything.

-There is a Baker/Deathwish tour section that is like 15 minutes long
-The Rumney/Kirby section which is short but everything in it is really good from both Pat & Kirby
-Like 10 mins or so of footage that was either unused/second angles
-Behind the scenes of the whole Cadillac destruction photo shoot thing from the Thrasher article
& I think there might of been like 1 or 2 other things but I don't remember what they were.

I got a copy of the normal DVD, not the Deluxe Edition so I'm not sure if there is more stuff on the other version.

I don't know! I'm glad that I wasn't the only person that had to stop and rewind like 4 times and still couldn't figure it out.

Thanks dude. Just the answer I was looking for. Looks like I'll be holding out for the dvd.

Edit: My shop will be closed for a day or two. If anyone wanted to hook a brother up with a link it'd be much appreciated.

the only logical conclusion is that he perfected the illusion flip (made it appear even more so like a hardflip, while flipping in fact the opposite way) FUCKING AMAZING

I thought that was a varial heel over the flat gap

also Ellington's pressure flip was amazing, I'm hoping for a very tasteful pressure flip comeback

Everyone killed it. My favorite Ellington part since Misled Youth.

Slash gap to back tail that ledge on the wall

sooooo much good shit in this video.
[close]

haven't seen the video but I know the backtail you're talking about. It was in a fallen ad I think maybe 2 years ago? It's pretty old. But that's at downhill school and no footage will ever describe how gnarly that shit is. It's just one of those spots that until you're standing at the top of the bank looking out to that ledge you'll never really comprehend how far and how tall that shit is.

Just watched the full video, great film! Hammer central.. to be honest it was almost hard to concentrate with a hammer every 3 seconds

The good:

Lizard King, exactly the type of next level skateboarding you expected. Lots of NBD including firecracker combos, with some great lines mixed in
Greco, THIS GUY IS AN INSPIRATION, guy was addicted to alcohol+oxy+shrooms+acid+misc for years.. pills and managed to release one of the best parts off all time. Darkslides are back he had atleast 5 different variations and they were cool as shit. Aside from that the style and hammers Greco pulled were unbelievable.

The mediocre:

Furby.. If there's a part to skip this is it, feels like the same video part has been released for 10 years, barely any effort putforth. Feels like he filmed this in his sleep

Ellington: bigspin city, we know you can do them, and switch flips. Enough is enough, learn new tricks or stop fronting a company as a pro

The bad:

MUSIC.. Must have been a rights issue, because the tunes absolutely blow.. nothing to get you amped up without good skating (does anyone want to hear KILL YOURSELF over and over?)

The ender.. Dickson killed it, but an ollie into a bank to end the most anticipated video of 2013?? I have friends that could do that

Not talking shit bc I absolutely loved his part but did anyone else notice Neen has Nike's on for like 90% of his part? He must have pulled an Appleyard and finished this around the same time as the Chickenbone Vid.

^^Adding to this list:
Jon Dickson's kickflip back tail that rail in the hallway, fucking hauling ass.
Herman's nosegrind stalefish, I was wondering where that footage was.
Lizard King's 50-50 to frontside grab, still not sure if he planned on grabbing it or not.

Greco's best part? Maybe. The ender was incredible but it was on a flat rail in someone's back yard.
[close]
I'm glad someone else pointed this out. I thought this was Greco's best part, easily, but where's everyone who was talking shit on Guy Mariano's six stair rail ender?
[close]

Right here! I didn't like that part because there was too much flip in flip out the entire way through it and a switch 360 flip nosegrind is not a trick that I care to see or even think about. Greco's part was a perfect mix of everything and seeing him do five different darkslide variations in that part after having never done one in a part before is awesome. His trick selection is aging well along with him, rather than trying to progress further and further and further in technicality as he gets older, like Guy is doing.
^ This is easily the dumbest opinion ever posted on Slap. You are hating on Guy's tech shit while praising Greco for doing dorkslides? Even t-racer can't post shit that dumb, and he's trying his hardest!

On an unrelated note, the friends section was rad. I'm glad they have it and think they need to become something that appears in every video again.
Are you a kook? If you would say this, the answer is “YES”
I quit skating for a time due to piling out

ellington's flatground and push might have been my favorite things about the video. i echo others who find the editing repetitive and zero-esque, felt like i was watching strange world at times. lots of amazing hammers thrown at you really quick; true comprehension of the gnarliness will come by watching the video on half speed. also not many lines throughout the film. in any case you can tell these guys took years of bodily abuse to put together an incredible piece of work. they make a fine contribution to the gap, stair and rail skating genre.

Solid video. Reminded me of the forst time I watched Misled Youth. With it being the Deathwish crew I expected a bunch of goofy ass weed and beer shit and all I got was an Awesome, fun, inspiring video. I could have done without multiple clips of chopper gunner headphones.

already watched this video a few times and the last time something like this happened was when MIA came out. liked absolutely everything, well maybe except lizard cause i'm not into clowns. solid editing, good music, all this kind of reminds me of how good the choco vid could have been if Ty wouldn't fucked it up so heavily.
