fuck man, its like a different kind of feeling when I heard about someone dealing with skating dies. I'm not saying im not empathetic to human death if the person didnt skate. Its like a feeling of brotherhood almost, if only there was a less lame way to say it. I guess its the mutual love for skating. My thoughts go out to his family.

This is such a sad thing to happen, Shawn was a great guy and will be missed. My thought go out to his wife and children and all his family and friends.

a Marine Corps Veteran who loved his country and skateboarding...deserves the utmost respect.

The video story is beyond fucking sad/angry hearing about how this guy was such a focal point in his community. I hope these fucks get buried alive who did this...

As it's already been mentioned, I didn't know Shawn but after hearing everyone's feedback on how much of a staple he was to his community, you could even say to his country, this is definitely horrible news.

For those looking for closure, it'll come but not overnight. When something as stupid as a shooting happens, for no reason at that, it's often hard to find the culprits. My blessings go out to his family and friends. Hope you're all recovering from this disaster.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Shawn once, but he was an awesome guy who ran an awesome shop. I hope that his shop and their brand of boards will live on, because I am sure that he would have wanted it that way.

I never met Shawn, but I've seen photos throughout the years of my friends from the area chilling on that deck bench, and had a general good vibe about the place. That group is solid too, very close and dedicated to one another. Truly sorry for them, his other friends, and his family. Rest in peace.

I posted a thread about this the night it happened. His shop is three streets away from my house and I've known everyone on the team for what seems like my whole life. I know he had upwards of 6-8 cameras inside, so its only a matter of time till they catch the kids. Shawn was one of my homies...he bought got a store front of what used to be a longboard shop, helped run the local park, had diy funds in the shop, and helped out a lot of people
