Older (maybe, but doubt it) as for sore? No way...Between 7 day 2hr avg gym workouts AND skating everyday (9among hiking/walking and biking) if I can, I'm a straight up mess...takes me half my skate sessions just to warm up these days :(

I hear you, it can take friggin' 30 minutes for me before I dare to try my first ollie in a sesh. Skating everyday? Good on ya. I just can't do it. Two-three consecutive days and I'm a wreck.

A while back I had noticed a new set of Formula fours I got felt and looked different than what I was accustomed to, assumed I was fried and carried on.

Fast forward a year or so and I came across
Some classic full 99s that were like new and set them up. Crazy how different they feel vs some kader radial
Fulls I have. Color, the way they wear and slide.
These almost feel like a 98 vs what’s available now. I suppose every batch of wheels would feel slightly different as the variables with mixing things up and how
Many wheels they’re making that day.

Hope they make a classic full again too.

Great shape/formula collab! One of my fave. Just gave away my last old set :/

30min, damn, you're fast! I've always had a weird rhythm, even before I was old and broken, takes me forever to warm up (meanwhile people are going all in out of the gate), but I'm also the last one skating and that's usually where I shine, the latter half of the session after everyone is sitting down.

Oh yes, the magic hour, it can be special. I guess that's the feeling we're all chasing and it's what keeps us coming back.

Hope they make a classic full again too.

This. Again, would be very interested in either classic full or radial slim 93s.

What sizes do you guys prefer in the Classic Full wheels?

Given that the smaller sizes are not that much wider, but anything over 55 mm is a lot wider, much like the normal Classics are up to 34 - 35 mm wide to 58 and then jump to 37 - 38 mm wide in the 60 mm diameter.

Going back over the Classic Full wheels I have hoarded, mainly 56 and some 58 mm sizes, more so than the 54 mm or other sizes, they are just nice wide but round wheels, so good for everything for me.

In saying that, I have rounded off bigger Conical Full that feel almost the same now as my Classic Full wheels, in the same way I have rounded down Conical wheels to be about the same shape as Radial Slims, at different times, so for anyone missing either and can't get their hands on more, at least those two options are easy enough, if you get your hands on even a small angle grinder and have a go, maybe on some old wheels first, but it does work.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Classic Fulls at 52mm, same as my Classics. I guess part of it is just that the slightly wider profile looks better, probably very little impact on performance...

I don't know if my interest to Radial Slims is just nostalgy. I have very fond memories of that shape. Radial or Conical Full is bit heavy and impacts my kickflips, and I'm too lazy to adapt.

Regular Lock-ins were way too wide for me...but I like skinny (V1/V2/V3) wheels...even classics but the roundness of them lessens that 'look' to some extent. It's crazy to me that OG classics are thinner than regs classic of the same size yet look MASSIVE due to the square shape of them (I can't ride those either).

My 93s are still in the packaging on my book shelf and might be there until Autumn,

Right now 54mm 99a Radials are the truth.

Just wanted to chime in and say how great the 93's are. I've ridden 99's my whole life and had the mentality "if it aint broke dont fix it".

I set up a Christmas complete with the 93's and compared it to my old set up with the 99's.

Wow...never realized how much vibrations there was from my 99's. The 93's do everything they claim to do and honestly I havent been this impressed with a skate product in a while. So much to the point I will probably be sticking with these.

It's one of those products you dont really think you need...then you try it out and you're like wtf...I wish I had this from the start.

Biggest take aways: I can skate longer cause the softer wheels absorbs the vibrations, I dont have to push as much, I go faster, I can set up for my tricks better per having a smoother ride.

After about 3 weeks on my 93s, I'm going back to 99 F4s. The 93s were amazing at first, but the slide started to get stickier over time as they got worn in, especially on "angled" slides like crooked grinds and smiths. I guess that's true for pretty much every wheel, it's just more pronounced with these. Sucks because everything else noted about the wheel is great. They're fast, I definitely notice less aches in my knees afterwards, etc. But as someone who pretty much exclusively skates ledges and curbs, the slide is essential.

I’ve also gone back to F4 99’s.

Slide was fine, but they were slow. I didn’t like the sound or feel of them.

My local just got updated, so I’m skating there a lot. No need for a softer wheel.

But, if I’m ever going to go skate some rough spots, I have them.

I also retired my 93's. They were fun but 54mm down to 47mm in less than a month just skating them at parks, not even at any crusty spots...never had a wheel wear down that fast. 97s feel kinda slippery with how easy they slide but they just feel...idk normal?

I normally ride 99a classics. Got a set of the new 93a classics a bit ago. Heard a lot people say the 93a were actually better than the 97a version…so I decided to try for myself. I concur.

The 93a seemed to ride better overall than the 97a, which really surprised me. The 97a felt, inexplicably, slower and more sluggish than the 93s. Moreover, the 93a was a lot better at dealing with crust than the 97a, and the 93a also seemed to perform well in other settings, making it seem like a better overall option.

I’m testing the revamped 97 f4, I think everyone will be stoked on them. Fast like 93’s, slide better than 99’s and a smoother ride on crust with no slowdown at the skatepark.

Slide better than 99s? Crzy. How are they 'better'? Seeing as the 101s are kinda glassy, the 99s were always the sweet spot.

Do they feel like a 99 or are they closer to the 93s? Still bouncy?

Not bouncy, just fast as hell on rougher ground and still bark when I slide.
Definitely feel like a 99ish but don’t vibrate me to death.

This would be huge for me, as a 97a conical full enjoyer. I'm on some 99 CFs right now and I am holding out to buying a new set of wheels til the new 97s drop.

Wait, you mentioned that they slide better than 99s in the previous post, but then mention that they still bark in this recent post - could you clarify? I had an issue with the F4 93s barking on flat bars with pinched tricks (crooks and feebles) so I went back to 99s.
