just got this email from vans about the protec pool party and some limited ''china cab'' half cabs coming out.  some kind of high end premium materials.  there is a whole long story about the process and reason but here are some pics.

DAMN! Those look really good. The first two on feet pictures look horrible, but the other photos look solid. And that collar padding? - shit looks sturdy and comfortable as hell.

Do you know if they're utilizing the Waffle Cup technology or are they using another method for the cupsole?

i hope its a different sole technology (ha) than the Rowley Shams.  Those were pretty horrible, but went for the same basic concept.

Metal eyelets are sweet. Makes lacing and tightening much quicker.

He had other cup sole models, but not the OG Cab, or the Halfs/Lows.
