Currently I'm using DVD Decrypter to get VIDEO_TS folders, and then I tried using PowerISO to convert the folder to ISO. But after I did, there were issues with the DVD menus and stuff. Software recommendations or a different path to get ISO files or anything? I don't want to spam this thread too much, so maybe message me if that's better? I'm a n00b here lol.

Here you go! They are zipped VIDEO_TS folders, by the way, not ISOs. For some reason, when I convert them to ISO, they aren't working properly. I think it's my ISO program.... You can probably convert them okay though.

Just extracted it using another method. Neither of the ISOs would play in VLC for some reason. BUT! If I mount them, they play in my DVD player app and in my external DVD player as a burned disc. Not sure what the issue is here but it seems that the authoring on these old -aughts DVDs is not great. It keeps crashing my Mac the Ripper software as well!

You can use Disk Utility but in the meantime, how to open a dmg file? 

On a Mac you can just change the .dmg extension to .iso . Not sure that this works on a PC but worth a shot. Disk utility only produced .dmg's, or disk images. It’s to the person making them to change the extension.

I have both a Mac and a PC and I can confirm that the DMG file works on both. On Mac, double click the DMG file to open it and play with Mac's DVD Player app. Or on a PC, just rename the file extension from .DMG to .ISO and it plays perfectly in VLC (also works with VLC on Mac of course).
