Just a reminder that the draft is this Sunday.

Also if anyone who wanted to play but didn't get to hit me up. My league has a few roster spots open.

So I have to work tomorrow afternoon and I'm probably going to miss the draft.  Is there a way I can just rank the players I want and then auto-draft the ones that are available when it's my turn?  I could try to use my phone during the draft, but it could be questionable using it at work.

yes can go into your auto-draft settings and select the order of the positions you want to draft

go to your 'my team page' then under your team name go to 'Edit Autopick Strategy'.

Had a mediocre draft today. Only 5 people drafted and there was a lit of auto picks. If you guys don't keep up with the league I will start removing owners and replace them with other. In a lighter note, I drafted pretty good and already sent out my first trade proposal. So good luck to everyone and may the best man(aham) win.

yea that was a pretty weak draft turnout, where the hell was everyone?

I pretty much changed up my entire draft strategy due to all the auto-picking

Think I did alright, but my RB situation could be better

I guess I'm the only one who wasn't affected by the autopicks because I got everyone I was expecting to get and some that I wasn't.. The first 8 rounds felt like cherry picking. This is the year I get over the hump.

I'm not in the SLAP league but I need to get my lineup set this week

RB situation:

C.J. Spiller against NE

Lesean Mccoy against Washington

David Wilson against Dallas

Steven Ridley against Buffalo

I know Ridley isn't always a 3rd down kind of guy, but he's playing buffalo defense.  I'm pretty sure I will start Lesean, I head he's going to have a great season.  David Wilson has a lot of weight on his shoulders with all the injuries, he's guaranteed to run a lot.  But CJ Spiller is such a good running back.

Keep in mind I can play 2 RB and a Flex.     Also, should I start Dwayne Bowe or Randall Cobb?

Who do you have at receiver?

I would start cj at rb1 and lmc at rb2. No need to get cute you have two top ten rb's on your roster. Ridley will get some play witch makes him a flex nod. He's a pass catcher so if you play ppr and are shallow on receiver he's a start.

Since I don't I know what your wr case is like I'm assuming Dwayne Bowe is your wr3 and I would put him at flex since your rbs aren't exactly goal line guys.

Cool I think I'll stick with that RB lineup.

Julio Jones wr1
Randall Cobb wr2
Dwayne Bowe wr3
Eric Decker wr4

Cobb is going up against SF which is rough.  Dwayne will probably be alex smith's favorite WR especially against jacksonville

I wouldn't be so worried about opposing defenses. You are pretty stacked at skill positions. Cobb and Bowe are definite #1 receivers and should see a plethora of targets. Jones is an obvious #1 or in some circles 1a/b

I stayed away from atlantas receiving corps this year because all though I love roddy white and Julio jones, you never seem to know which week is going to be the receiver, and in the case of roddy white he has a great track record of health. Very rarely do both perform at a high level in the same game. Just my two cents on Atlanta.

As a rule of thumb always start your studs.

Right on I can definitely see that about Atlanta, especially last year.  They're playing New Orleans this week so I figure both of them are probably good for 10+ Fantasy points

I need trade advice!

I'm in a money league (winner gets $600) with some friends in town.  I drafted three backs who all have a week five bye: Doug Martin, Alfred Morris, and Peyton Hillis.

Another owner wants one of my defenses, New England or Baltimore.
One trade he proposed was the Jet's Chris Ivory and Chicago tight end, Martellus Bennett for the Patriots' defense.
He also suggested an alternative trade with St. Louis starting back, Daryl Richardson, for either of my defenses.

Should I accept either trade or wait until week five and just hit the waiver wire?

I would go for the Chris Ivory trade since your getting more for the New England D. Baltimore will still put up good numbers during the season.

Daryl has potential to have a monster season.  Defenses/Special Teams can be really hit or miss.  Personally I pick up the defense of whoever is playing the jets or oakland; there isn't much point having two defenses in my opinion.  Everyone knows that the Jets passing situation is shitty, so they will expect Chris Ivory to carry a lot of the workload; they'll be ready to stop ivory

The first week is over. How did you guys do? I fucking did horribly, cannot believe David Wilson got me -3 points. Remember to set up your line ups for this week and look out for any good waiver pick ups.

I got screwed in my league too.  CJ Spiller, David Wilson, and Steven Ridley.  Thankfully I played LeSean McCoy instead of Wilson.

Sudfield got me 0 points.  Picked up Jordan Cameron instead.  Vick killed it last night.

the mango molesters completely raped me, there wasn't much I could do against the Payton onslaught. I've got two waiver requests in, hopefully that will fix some of my issues. I hope Team Rudolph is ready, this is the Little Boys' week, I can feel it.

I lost in SLAP's league and I lost my hometown money-league, but I won in the Pomona Valley Football Society league.

Trade advice, please!

An owner in my money league is willing to give me Frank Gore and Anquan Boldin for my no. 1 back, Doug Martin.  Do I accept?

This thread is a chronology of how I won this years fantasy league.

Edit: anyone thinking about trades right now is severly overreacting to week 1. You don't need to go crazy about trading to at least week 4 when you can tell which way your season going. However anyone who is trying to buy defenses for skill players needs to be taken full advantage of.

Ask if you can get a better WR. Personally I don't like to have too many players from the same team because it gets tricky around bye week and you never know who is gonna perform better.

I don't think Frank Gore will have a phenomenal year this year like he did last season.  And I have a hard time believing boldin will be able to exploit the defense like he did last weekend.

I concur. Green Bay is a soft defense. See how the niners fair against Seattle. You don't really have enough data to make accurate projections this early in the season.
