Love or hate I really don't care the point was to get people to think. The point was to show how off balance and out of touch the skate industry is. Just like our country and why 16-24 year old are the highest demographic unemployed right now. That the power truly lies within the people on these forums. There are thousands of us on here, we could demand more from these companies. They act right ethically, environmentally, and business wise. Otherwise, we shouldn't support them. Are people scared to stand up to their favorite company and say hey stop being jerks, and conduct yourselves with some ethics? Or is it time to support companies who have our same values? First of all, NHl is primarily a Canadian sport, although that tide seems to be changing. It's not lacking black people because they aren't talented enough IMO, it's because they have interest elsewhere, which is fine. Nothing racist there at all. Same goes with different sports and different ethnic groups.

What I'd really like to see is one of the company owners who has never had a black pro on their team actually explain why they have not. Enough of them lurk on here, so you know they could. Maybe Mr. Brink or someone in the media could do a little story on the subject matter. The fact is, it's disproportionate; and yes it does seem like a lot of companies are going to have their ass handed to them because they refuse to open their eyes. Its funny how enough people bitch on here about this or that,  but yet never organize to do anything about it. Zumiez comes into your community and no one protests, and yet it is an American right to do that. Imagine if people got together to do that would it help your local shop to keep them in business? Would it impact anything, do you ever think the companies you are supporting support corporations more? Where is the loyalty in that? They say they need to to stay in business or its like every other corporation where the owners make 95% and the riders/employees make 5%. These are the things companies don't want you to think about, and how fucking shady they are. Yet, we wear their logos, buy their product, and give them huge bonuses while last weeks favorite pro is broke, broken, and has no future. This is how most of society is run, does that mean we have to follow suit?

Lets look at some facts of companies who are very diversified and are doing well without a question; LRG, Diamond, and Addidas (I know what your saying this is just a point).
Now flip it and look at companies that have pigeon holed themselves with the "target market" or have never even considered adding some color. Black Box-pros hardly get paid, sales are not doing good and they have three fucking companies, and we got some Z. Foundation-know one really cares about them anymore, seriously, are they still around. Alien-this roller coaster ride just never ends, and no one wants to see another rob board. Habitat-I just really want to see a brother on the team that is pro, dammit I love this company. Creature-thank god, NHS has longboards and gimmick boards to sell all day, cus whos asking for creature. L.E-too drunk or stoned to care, brah, wait have you seen our boards anywhere?. Almost-had a black pro, nah just kidding we're going to let this Mullen thing ride out we got the Z. Enjoi- to sarcastic to care, beside we have the Asian Elvis so we cool we got the Z. 5boro-jeezus, your an east coast company come on, might brings some life back to you. Birdhouse-your almost legit again with this new team, just don't blow it, go on to the dark side. Heroin- hey, they do have a lot of Asians on the team playing that card like Enjoi. Just saying some of these companies are struggling to get by, and its not just because of the economy even if that is what they keep telling themselves. They all may be in some of the same stores, but by leaps and bounds they are being outsold.

Actually, that assumption has been proven false.  Between the independents voting for Ron Paul or simply not voting at all, along with a weak turnout among evangelicals (which is why the atheists here make me laugh at their delusional belief that the religious right has much influence left in this country today), it accounted for roughly 4.5% that did not go in favor of conservatives, it was THE main reason they did not win. 

Also, with blacks composing only around 17% of the population, they'll have a lower presence in most endeavors base on sheer numbers.

Another point. These companies also have images and who they marketing to. And if you dont fit the image they dont want you in the back of their heads. Unless of course you can make money for them. which is the sad part at times.
