How do you guys feel about skating with headphones? I feel the only time it's acceptable is when you are skating a parking garage or something by yourself. It always sucks when your out skating and you see one of your friends you haven't seen in a while and when ever you try to talk to them they have to take out there headphone and be like "What'd you say?" I think it's lame and makes that person look like a douche

If you are skating by yourself, go your hardest.

But if you are at the park or a spot with others cruising around its lame as fuck. Parks are dangerous places and people collide all the damn time even when they can see and hear everything around them. With headphones in you're not doing yourself or anyone around you any favors.  

When you skate with friends and they have headphones in, it's fucking irritating. We're supposed to be hanging out, having a laugh while skating. I shouldn't be constantly competing with the music playing and acknowledged with an annoying "What?" every time I want to congratulate you on a trick.

We may as well skate by ourselves if all we want to do is listen to our own private music.

I think it's fine if you're skating by yourself but it definitely is annoying when you're with friends or just at the park and some guy keeps snaking everyone u cuz he can't hear anything. Personally I'd rather just hear the sounds of the skateboard & environment cuz it helps me lock in & focus on the moment instead of being distracted by a song or earbuds falling out

this is dumb, but i hate it when i am watching a legit skate part and the skating and music are flowing together really well then suddenly i see a clip with those stupid earbuds.  it kind of ruins it for me.   especially if they are those white apple things.  extra especially if you are aaron artis and your headphones take up half the damn screen.

I only put some music on if I'm skating to a destination by myself like over to a buddy's place or a skate spot or whatever. I never listen to music during a session, I know for some people music gets them pumped to land shit and "in the zone", but I just find it distracting and unnecessary.

I enjoy skating with earphones in but I have the worse luck with them so one is usually broke but that means I can hear people/ skating sounds while listening to music.

They stay on pretty solid, and I can hear most everything.  I'll also just keep them around the neck and crank it up if it's real crowded or I'm getting chatted up.  I don't do ear buds.  They damage your hearing.
