Just got back to Bristol after the christmas holiday, and after barely skating during my frist term at uni really want to try and meet some more people, so wondered if there are any of you living in Bristol.

Lloyds (when it's dry) on weekends is heaving with all manner of kids.  Try Bedminster skatepark, the Bower Ashton DIY spot (which takes an age to dry up) or the M32 DIY spot near Ikea when it's raining - it's under the motorway so it's well sheltered.  The guys in 50-50 or Campus skatepark - http://www.campus-skatepark.co.uk/ - a little way out of the city in Winterbourne should be able to point you in the right direction, good luck!

Midsummer Norton is really fun if you can avoid the scooters.

There are loads of skaters in Bristol, you should be ok!  There's another purpose built spot (not a DIY spot or a plaza) in the park behind the old church on Portland Square in St Pauls, you'll recognise it when you see it - it's the one with the ledge into a bank.  Nowhere near as easy to skate as you'd think.

If you're on the way to Midsomer Norton, check out Shepton Mallet and Glastonbury parks too, they're rad.

Bumping as I’m going to Bristol for a couple of days mid May. I know my way around the city not too bad and I will be with my gf. She’s into skating so it’s good.
What’s some good spots to hit up? I just know Lloyd’s and that circle plaza from that Vice docu.

if i'm home, more than happy to show you around.

lloyds is great, high ledges but are pretty rounded off these days. cenopath has ledges slightly shorter plus lots of flat ground to skate around. there's a manny spot in st werbs (https://maps.app.goo.gl/vLKvKZBkTMDMokc98), another manny down hill outside the bristol beacon. kerbs outside city hall, which is on college green. there's some new ledges outside the university halls by motion (https://maps.app.goo.gl/bfebZs1WAitUX6dV8), there's some banks and a kerb behind showcase cinema, not too far from the ledges by the university halls. there's an account called brizzyspots which has some other stuff which is maybe a bit more challenging.

there may be some other spots by the time you come as there's a lot of building works going on around the city.

except that, dean lane is a classic skatepark, built diy style with a new addition at the top called the slab (manny pad, ledge and rail), victoria park which is not too far away too. st george skatepark is not too far from the centre, pretty rough to skate but fun when you find your lines. m32 diy is good if it's raining but it's also pretty rough.

There's also Shredenhams which is a mall converted into an indoor park - https://shredenhams.com/, could be a good spot in case the weather turns to shit despite us being in summer.

Aye yeah, all the campus's are great, personally hate sheddenhams but it's good if you really wanna get a skate in when it rains

I'm not from there, so I don't have any skate spot insights. But do go to Highbury Vaults, for a post-skate session pint or two (or just anytime really).
