Venice Beach Skatepark
« on: October 31, 2014, 09:15:14 PM »
Could someone post a photo of the little piece of transition at/near the Venice beach skatepark. Near where the manny pad is, I think. I was looking for it on google with no luck and I really want to show it to my local parks and rec for ideas for a new park. Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about the old park? Like the litlle foot and a half quarter? I'll see what I can do . Not sure  you want any of those design elements in a new park though, that thing is annoying as hell to skate.

I actually really liked it, was just a fun little quarter pipe. I think Blake Johnson skates it in the beginning of his Santa Cruz part.

He makes it look a lot more skateable then it is. I'd be lying if I said it's not a fun little thing to skate, but I wouldn't recommend it for a park. You have to think about an entire community's ability and needs and that qp just isn't feasible for most people.
