surprised it took me so long to hear about this but oderus (dave brockie) died of a heroin overdose in march. always thought they were funny, especially oderus in interviews and they put out a good song from time to time.

the band now has a female lead signer and they did a tribute song that's a cover of the pet shop boys



they also did a viking funeral for oderous

I love Gwar. Saw them many times, along with Dave doing DBX at super small clubs and bars. Talking 30 people in the crowd. Smoking joints with him after.

Beefcake from that time did vocals, but X-cops was another Gwar spin off, Dave played bass. Some mid 90s thrash.
