Technically didn't buy, but a loose-lipped relative let slip that I miiiiight be getting a set of Bones Swiss for Christmas.
I've only skated pretty entry-level bearings my whole life, if anyone has skated Bones Swiss (non-ceramic), how much of a difference should I expect to really notice? I don't wanna get too hyped just to be let down.
Depends on how neurotic you are, but you should feel an improvement. I've been on a set of Swiss since last year and I would say I "feel" like I don't need to push as much since the higher quality bearings will maintain their speed longer than a cheaper bearing. Could totally be placebo tho lol.
My example would be, say I'm going for a trick on a ledge and I have a desired approach target speed. I can throw down, get to that speed and maintain it longer before I go to pop. Whereas on cheaper bearings, I may have to throw in an extra push to get back to my desired speed on the way to the ledge.
Keep your shields on and try to clean your bearings regularly for longevity purposes
