Two pairs of Butter Jeans from Orchard. I've gotta chill on buying pants for a while now..
How are they? I’ve been wanting to get a pair.
They're good. I like their fit better than polar. They run big though. I wear 32 in polar, for Butter I size down to 30.
God damn. I have a pair of 30 inch waist polar 93’s that fit fairly loose around the waist and a pair of dimes that are fit about the same. your saying these are baggier? If I buy jeans from your average retailer a size 30 is like two sizes too small for me. Where do these skate brands get their size info from? I just bought some volcom cords and their size 33 fits about the same as my size 30 polars.
The best way I can describe it is like this. I also have a pair of 93s in 32X30, and I would say waist wise the "baggy fit" Butters size 30 is a bit slimmer. But the legs are baggier and longer, probably closer to a X32 length.
I’m similar with “average retailers” in that if I buy a pair of Levi’s 550s I’m going up to a 35w, and they still aren’t as baggy. Based off what you describe, if 30w 93s are “fairly loose”, I think you’d find Butters 30 to be noticeably looser than that. Depending on the fit you’re going for I’d say you’d be safe sizing down to a 28, but if you have a shop that carries Butter Goods I’d recommend trying some on before pulling the trigger. I’d hate to steer you wrong based off my experience alone. Also, you can even sort of see it in the photo I posted, but the black “weather gear” pair are noticeably larger than the light rinse pair. Both size 30 and the “Baggy Fit”. So while the quality of materials is great, there does seem to be a bit of size inconsistency.
