Skated the park for the 1st time today, 3 dudes rolled up, 2 set up new decks right away. Brand new and none could kickflip or ollie the 4 stair, one guy tried atleast 6 times kicking away each time. his buddy was claiming he would boardslide the rail "right now..." he then skated to the beginner side of the park and never touched the rail. I thought this was BMX type shit, buy a sick new bike and basically stand on it?
Poser used to be common wording in the 2000's, with everyone buying baggy skate clothes and new boards yet lacking tricks. This year seems to be the chinese new year of posers. Now that skateboarding is seen as cool, and "normal." It's neither, used to be the grittiest fools trying shit they might not land, kicking away was not an option, your friends would razz you to no end
A rollerblader showed up, waxed every rail in the park, and I left. See why I hate skateparks?
