Oldest someone has been turned pro
« on: May 26, 2015, 11:01:02 PM »
Just curious what the latest age some guys have been given the pro nod? I know Marquise Henry and Al Davis are up there (Correct me if I'm wrong). At what age do you give up trying to make it and get a 9-5?

The secret is still working a 9-5 and continuing  to challenge yourself

Keegan Sauder has to be up there. He also may have had the shortest pro career. He had a board for like two seasons I think.

Ah yeah I forgot about Blood Wizard. I assumed he went behind the scenes at Vans or something.

Shane Heyl turned pro in his mid thirties I think. He's probably the oldest.

Louie Barletta, Ron Allen. Silas was kinda older also right?
I think Ron Allen turned pro around 89-90, which he would've been around 25. I also think he's lying about his age as is closer to 55 than 52 so he would turned pro around 27 years old. Charlie Thomas told me Louie Barletta is a year or two older than him so that means he's 42-43 now, how long ago did he turn pro?

Castillo definitely has got to have the record of the youngest person sponsored to turning pro ratio of anyone. He got sponsored around 91-92 and was continuely sponsored for 16-17 years before going pro.

Wow Silas is 31 years old. He was Soty with 25 years old. I dont think he was that old when he turn pro. He was on that 2007 Transworld Am Oz tour with Dylan, Shane Cross, Duncombe and crew. He wasnt that old but I always think that Silas was younger. Like 28 or something.

Silas is great !  :D
