I've been to Los Angeles a bunch but have never been to San Diego. Looking for schoolyard tables, banks, ledges types of spots. Not trying to do any big stairs or gaps or handrails. Thanks in advance.

Looking for schoolyard tables

if you're looking for schoolyard picnic tables, stay in LA

True. They are pretty much all full size tables here in SD.

There isn't a signature plaza type spot in San Diego? I figured it would have some good stuff considering its size and history. The closest thing to a plaza type place I can find is Chicano Park and it is a bit underwhelming to say the least.

Chicano just turned into a skatepark. It looks awesome though.

SD is the place for ditches, handrails, and drops; so i'm afraid you might be outta luck. However i would rather visit SD over LA any day. There is no such thing as a Jkwon in SD. If you're looking for plazas and ledges...LA is your best bet.

don't ride your board downtown or you will get a ticket.

I didn't find much when I was out there, but I skated a lot less than I had planned. One thing that surprised me was the amount of hills. Much more elevation than Los Angeles.

Just got back from San Francisco and it was so much better for skating, although that may be obvious. San Diego just isn't on the same level as L.A. and S.F. (again-obvious)
