Any reviews (or what page of this thread should I be on) of the 1010? Pondering trying these out. Never had NB before. Sizing? Good? Bad?

very good, might wanna size half a size up, though i personally wear tts and they fit fine, but a bit roomy. very good heellock, overall good grip and boardfeel for cupsole, comfy to walk around in and alright dampening. mid to slim puff, they are not as thick as they sometimes look in pictures. but they are padded enough. thinner than dunks, about as padded as accel slims but hold their shape better and have a more substantial, stiffer sole.

Do the 508s have as stiff of a sole as the 440s?

it has the same tread pattern as the 288... not sure if it's modified at all from that, but if it's basically a 288 sole it's substantially thinner than the 440

i think the 440's sole is softer than the 288og/508 sole tbh.

True to size unless you have wide feet go up half size. Suede pairs skate great right outta the box. Leather pairs take a few sessions to break in and last longer than suede pairs.

I just retired the black suede 1010’s, fit TTS for me. I liked them a lot, didn’t take long to break in, skated fine on the 1st session. I only skate cups so maybe coming from Vulc it would take longer to adjust? Love the sole, grip was amazing. I skated them for 3 months maybe 6hrs a week. I should have super glued the toe seams earlier. They still have plenty of life in them tho TBH. 8/10 for me

Anyone else starting to sweat waiting for more colors of the 508s? Wore a hole in the Ollie spot of my switch foot or I’d still be on pair number 1. The dual materials break in so nice, if shoegoo doesn’t buy me more life on the white/creams I might try 288

If you don't mind me asking, what size board do you ride, and what kinda skating are you into? What are your go-to flip tricks?

I ask because I just had my first proper session in mine last night, maybe 2. 5 hours, and already have a hole in the mesh where the knuckle on my second smallest toe is. Wondering if i just drag my foot weird.

I ride 8.5 with Jessup, mob fucks my shoes up too fast. I mainly skate ledges, don’t do too many flip tricks lately, especially regular stance. Go to is nollie/switch flip.

Happened to me too, probably the biggest flaw of the shoe in my opinion. I have the suede “beef and broccoli” ones too which are obviously holding up better. The issue with those is some sweat stains forming, but I’m sure with some elbow grease they can be gone.

That was my first thought. But the only colorway I can recall that was close is this one, believe it was one of the first few drops and it had gum soles. Thought he may have just painted them at first. But The ones in Trahans story have black soles. DMd him, we’ll see if he hits me back.

Or maybe Roth can confirm/deny?

jordans shoes had something like a purple liner and accent on the heel? or maybe my eyes are just fucked.

anyways, looks pretty good. haven't seen this color and i used to look for that model or what was left of it and probably saw most colorways. hopefully this is one of the reissues roth said could be coming occasionally.

Ordered a pair of black/ gum 440 High's last week after seeing Numeric claim they are tts. I'm glad I did, because they were indeed tts.

Compared to SB Dunk High Pro's the 440hi's feel broken in right away. Likely, because they aren't as thick, stiff and narrow as the Nike's. Definitely not as supportive in the upper, but that can be a Pro/ Con based on personal preference. No noticeable QC issues on my pair and the extremely thin insoles are the only real con of this shoe. I'll likely keep on buying these until Nike can sell shoes without the extra steps involved.

A little bit of dorky energy but that was a good ad. I'd like to try them out if I can find a shop that has them nearby. No matter what size I try the vans slip on never fits quite right. I've only had luck with the Dylan slips.

Anyone have word on if these are a narrow shoe or wider?

Yo that's your shoe! Don't you have a bunch stocked up? Maybe this is sign of a return to the line... I am definitely gonna try them since I've never had a pair.

new 508 colorway hit the aussie market.

I think a white toe panel top would have been a nice touch.

I missed out on the 868 when they were in production and recently copped a pair that I'm really loving for their durability and how they skate + the soles haven't worn from when I've been dragging my foot when I've been filming either. Be keen to skate more of 'em if I can!

After waking up and checking the NB site every morning for the last 4 months, The 440 high white green was finally added to the Canadian website. I copped the 2nd last pair and I’m just over the moon.

Been waiting for this shoe since Jack Curtains insta post months ago

So stoked!

They are my favorite personally. Aside from one pair of 1010's just recently, its the only shoe I've skated in the past 3 years. They check all the boxes for me, a pair will last me 3 month or more. They never get floppy, just a real solid well built shoe. Im stoked they are going to be doing little releases from time to time. I have around 10 pairs atm, I'll probably cop 2 or 3 of the new color way when they drop. Slept on the Surreys and kinda kicking myself.
