I know some have talked about inconsistencies with 1010's and other models...some pairs fit fine, others not. But I bought my 2nd pair of 1010's today which are a newer colorway compared to an old deadstock pair I bought from a pal on here. Fit and feel is the same, they definitely shortened the tongues slightly, and the laces seem a little shorter, too. Which I like both of those changes. No heel slip either. Guess it's all subjective. Hope they never stop making this shoe. Best things to ever happen to my feet.
chiming in here since i am not sure i ever shared my experience with the newer tiagos.
a fine pal pointed out that the newer/ reworked versions have a slightly different eyelet (second from the top). usuallywas some material with a metal eyelet but newer ones have rubber wich does the laces there some service.
long story short: shoes fit me waaaay better, also no heelslip- EVER. unsually with older models it was the worst, slightly swimming in the shoes and hella heelslip. they are that greyish blue "castlerock"CW by the way.
suede with the mesh toe seems the way to go.
Also to the guy with the black 1010s with the white accents: these are a go!
