Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Reynolds’ shoe launch got pushed back until March 1st.

Makes sense.  Reynolds needs that 3

Alright that’s fine but can someone at least show us the shoe. I’ll be pissed if come feb/march I’ve been waiting all this time and this show is just not for me.

Got some made in the the USA 990s after I told everyone in my family I wanted NB gift cards for Christmas.

Not #, I know. So maybe a bit off topic.

These things are every bit as comfortable as they were expensive.

NB# still are not showing shops what the shoe looks like. The picture of the shoe will be shown in the next catalog for the Winter 25’ line.

Not sure if that catalog will be sent to shops before or after the Reynolds shoe drops on March 1st

Might come off as a heretic here, but I don't need a new Reynolds shoe. I just need an apocalypse-level stock of the 440v1 which I've come to realize is the best skate shoe in the history of the universe.

@rothdigga (or someone else in the know), are there plans to keep the v1 in production or are you guys gonna phase it out soon?

Heresy.
Happy about date being pushed since my bday is on April and my gf will get them as a present. Stoked.

you can usually get miusa NB at nordstrom rack for under $100. probably the best deal that they have, the quality is always on point in my experience.

I understand sticker shock, but if one looks at the durability of the 808 or 1010, those are shoes certainly justify their costs in longevity alone.
Speaking of durability - has anyone else noticed that the 1010s wear down faster than the 808s? About 4-5 sessions in and the stitching on my lead foot is starting to wear. I could just be skating them too hard…

Oblomov expects NB to make an important decision like that?  How droll

But seriously, I don’t see why they would.  I know Foy is top seller, but 1010 has to be in 2nd

Nah, 808 are tanks, I love the 1010 but you cannot compare them in terms of durability. My 1010 soles were balding and the toe area was kinda destroyed sooner than expected, but I enjoyed every minute skating them.

Good to know, thanks for the response. I’ll enjoy these while they last but I’ll have my eye out for 808 deals.

For what it's worth, the 1010's soles remained grippy for me even when bald because of the rubber they use. I have heard it being not grippy enough for some tho. I like a medium grip shoe.

I think that dude is just wondering if they will discontinue the 1010.

1010 is still in all the new catalogs.

If you’re looking for 808 deals and not necessarily supporting your local shop, check out Nordstrom Rack and Zumiez. They usually have 808s for almost half off.

Damn! They had a bunch of # on there for cheap too.

I always try to buy my skate shoes from skate shops though, but fuck this is tempting!

440V1 has been phased out actually.  So if you REALLY like that shoe, I would suggest you stock up as much as you can as those stopped being made a while back once the V2 dropped.

Thanks rothdigga. Well, all things must pass. Oh man, maybe time to put a couple of unused pairs on permafrost and let them gather some vintage value? Got a tasty red and white pair with the pre-Ortholite insole...

Having skated both somewhat recently and also being very hard on shoes I can confirm 1010s don’t last as long as 808s. The latter is a fucking tank, still prefer 1010s

1010s last less than 808s but still last longer than normal models like 440s. The sole goes bald but it doesn't affect the grip. I would say they last a little bit more than Dunks (depends on the dunk colorway because dunks are one of the less consistent shoes out).
