Has anyone had the problem when you put fp insoles in your nb shoes they become way stiffer. I've had that problem when I skated the 808 and with my 933 it was so stiff that I swapped back to the original insoles. I've never had that problem with any other shoes.

I feel like in shoes like the 808 and 933, the shoe was designed a specific insole in mind, since most of the cushioning comes from the midsole. So changing it affects it more than most.

I just put some Superfeet insoles in my 440 v2 highs and they feel even better now. I love the shoe but the stock insole doesn't do much for it, at least in my opinion.

Thanks everyone, they just seemed super glued in there so I thought it was like a vans situation......

The 480's have a thin insole that would work but 480's mids plus an orthotics seems like alot of shoe.....

I have said multiple times for years that a 306 cup would be incredible, maybe the perfect shoe. How can I get eyes on this?

306 does look really good

And grey 933 are perfection. Like em more fit wise and comfort wise than black olive. Can’t stop wearing em for everything

I love the 440 v2 and the stock insole doesn’t bother me. A lovely shoe.

Not with the 600 at least. FP Gamechangers make them even better for me, as they are not stiff at all from the get-go.

quick question about the 600s:

i had the launch colorway- white leather/ gum sole but they did not at all fit me. i always felt like i was sliding forward in the shoe no matter how  i laced them. do some of you 600 afficionados feel like the fit in the suede pairs is different?

i would really love to grab the smurfs or the blacked out colorway.....

There is a big difference. I had the white ones (indoor launch cw) and they felt like shit, also had the other suede launch cw (those sweet black/gum with white laces) and difference was like night and day. Suede ones fit amazing.

 8) 1010 is a fantastic shoe! I have a hard time choosing between the 1010, 480 and 440.

Hoping they release a “light” version of the 933 in the future like they are with the 808

It’s a super comfy and incredible looking chiller, but I reckon you’d get more board feel from a pair of Dutch clogs.

I’ll still be copping more pairs of these for sure, just not going to be used for skating (much)

Broken in, the 933 has the same boardfeel as an SB Dunk for me. Much better cushion and rebound but same boardfeel.

Makes no sense while having 600 and 440v2 as options.

I guess as a design exercise, I’d be curious what a $100 version would look like - but you’re right: why take a shoe meant to be THE premium shoe in terms of comfort, tech, etc and gut it

The first pair of black suede 10.5's that I had from the launch fit me perfectly. The second, and subsequent suede pairs, felt like they were half a size small. I size up to an 11 in them. I've had 2 pairs of the white leather color way that came out last year, a pair as recently as a couple months ago, that fit perfectly in 10.5

I finally nabbed a pair of 808 v1 – a full size up from my 1010 suede size after hearing that was the move.  My foot is on the wider side so I could see a half size up being right for a lot of people.  For the current prices, the og 808s are potentially the ideal skate to and for work shoes for me.  I'm not doing heavy skating in these, more like cruising/commuting.

The appeal of them to me was how bulky/tanked out they are and they’ve delivered on this front.  I'm on my feet and walking a lot, doing warehouse adjacent stuff.  They really do absorb impact well, which feels good on the knees.  They fit nicely, with a tiny bit of room for my toes so I'm not crammed in.  I had been cranking them down somewhat to make sure I was fully locked in, but now that they're broken in a few weeks later I've loosened them and they feel even comfier and I'm still locked in well.  They're stiff but they're also very cushioned.

I also really fuck with how they look too.  I think they capture the 90s/00s skate shoe look in a way that still feels current and not silly.  Getting lots of compliments on them.  I think the quality and make of them is potentially a notch above the 1010s, which is still a shoe I love.  They make my broken in 1010s feel more like Fastbreaks.  I like the squish of the Fuel Cell but this is a nice change of pace.  Really dig having them in the rotation right now.  My feet feel good.

I just purchased another pair on sale.  Eyeing more since they're going away, though my shoe inventory is pretty packed so I probably shouldn't add anything else, and I do see these 808s lasting.

the 306 with the mesh and all never looked right to me as a vulc, but as a cup it actually sounds promising. is it gonna be more like the 440 or 480 in terms of sole stiffness/thickness/boardfeel?

So on the 2 933 launch cw the toe is not properly glued and supposedly that was fixed on the grey days.
Anybody can confirm?

Yeah OG 808 is great once you break em in. I just finally retired my first pair from skating but I could still use em for walking dogs or yard work since they're still comfy and didn't get any holes, just lost all grip on outsoles and uppers. Got a back up pair in the same classic grey day CW and couple other pairs stocked from a BF sale last year :)

It would be wild if they slapped it on like a 1010 sole, but I would suspect it’s probably the 480 sole or very similar. Those are the only cups I’ve seen Foy skating in, so that’s my guess. The 288 or 508 sole would look super clean as well.

Looking forward to checking them out with whatever sole ends up being on there.

I hear you, and I understand you, but I don’t know that I agree with you. While the likelihood is that they do something similar to one of these, the 288/508 were the exact same sole, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility. We’ll see eventually, and either way, I’ll be picking up a pair to check out. It makes sense to pair one of your most popular uppers with one of your most popular lowers if you can make them mesh without jacking up the fit. Molds for soles aren’t cheap, and I realize they got that New Balance money, but every new shoe is just an experiment to see if people are stoked on the item.
