I told myself I’d post on this thread when I got my board that I left in Philly, so now that I got it and put those trucks on a fresh one here I am. Just so I don’t spam this thread with a shit ton of pictures, I go into detail board by board in this imgur post: https://imgur.com/a/tYLbHVc

Here’s the summary photo

Welcome to my quiver, slight case of the madness right now.
I used to be a one setup guy but got carried away with trying new stuff last year. But to be honest I kinda like having a fleet to choose from and most have a special designated use.

Top second from left: Main Setup, Antihero Austin Kanfoush 8,28, Indy Mid Forged Hollow 149, Six Balls, F4 Og Classics 54mm 99

Top second from right: Park Setup, Antihero Pfanner 8,25, Indy Forged Hollow 149, Six Balls, F4 Conical Full 53mm 99

Top right: Winter and AF Test Setup, Krooked Gottwig 8,25, Ace AF1 55, SKF, F4 Conical 54 down to 50mm 99

Bottom left: Cruiser, Krooked 8,5, Indy Standard 149, SKF, Krooked Zip-Zinger

Bottom second from left: Rain Setup, also used to break in fresh curbs, Krooked Gottwig, Indy Standard 149, old SKF, F4 Tablets 54mm 99

I've always wanted to skate this shape but never wanted to pay $200 to try

Everybody Skates 9"
Ace AF1 60's
Tony Hawk Shamone wheels 58mm
Bones Swiss
Mob and Jessup
Shop 7/8 Allen

Last Christmas my brother got this for me, if he got me any other graphic it would probably be on the wall right now. I grew up idealizing MJ and loved all of his Motown albums but after growing up and meeting the fine people of the Santa Ynez Valley I am positive MJ diddled your kids.

I would get no better pleasure than to finally get a chance to skate this shape and also slide off all of the graphics, that's why no rails. I know my brother got this to make me happy and nothing will make me happier

I've been looking everywhere to find some black and white wheels (I thought it would be fitting). After months of not finding them I bought some Bones Tony Hawk's (I thought that would be fitting) and sat them halfway in a jar of Rit black dye for a week, they came out green, oh well it matches the logo

I glued the authenticity card on top and clear griped over the number, I thought it was a classy touch. I mean it's 37 out of 100, if it was a cooler number I might of sold it but I don't think so.

Ok

Thank you.

Gottwig's sick. Liked the HUF stuff and really dug his Birds part and had it on heavy rotation. At the time I really liked the DLX 8.25 and when I get stoked from watching someone what's better than to support him and be stoked on my setup also?

As for the ACE Lows, I think it's a really good truck and hope it will be available for a long time because at its height and with its turning capabilities it fills a niche and it does it well. That being said, I bought mine during a not so mild episode of the madness. Have to add I'm 46 and have been skating Indys since '89. So after trying out a lot and keeping setups with AF 1's high and low in rotation I realized I would have to go all in with ACE and for now the benefits with Indys are just there. But I will keep em and who knows?

I bought a 9” chico stix board, set it up with 8.5 royals and 53 spitfire classics. At first I thought it would be a sick curb board, but now it’s just collecting dust. I haven’t used it in months.

My regular setup is an 8 or 8.1 baker or sci fi fantasy with 7.75 indys, so switching between the two is hard

Just swapped my beamer for a coupe and not feeling it. I do love the zogger, and was sold this would meet between that and a beamer, and be like the last shaped board I'd ever ride, but alas, it's actually not that fun imo as it's a lot less nimble and flicky than either the zogger or beamer proper. Anyone else feel similarly or different? Or have a take on any of those?
