There’s a suede patch on the heel of those low tops, but the resolution isn’t good enough to make out the material on the mid tops. Have you skated either? I don’t know what the low tops are for but the mid tops are for electricians.

No I haven’t skated either. I stick to Nike dunks or blazers. I’ve learned my lesson to stop trying new shoes.

seems like these slipped under the radar but are in fact labelled correctly

I don’t think those Superstars are vegan, but I could be wrong. That puzzle piece looking symbol which is for leather has never shown up on any vegan shoes I’ve gotten.

Edit: They feel synthetic but I don’t know because of the materials tag, and I haven’t skated leather shoes since 2008. They don’t have the same grain pattern that leather Dunks have, but I don’t know much about leather.

thanks for that, just checked mine though and that’s not the tag I have, mine clearly states the model number and then list them as all synth …

That’s the other side of the tag. There was also a brown card that said it was made from recycled materials. Adidas USA probably screwed up, because they listed one of Blondey shoes that were called Indoor A.B. or something like that as having leather, a while back.

I ordered some (non-skate) Stan Smiths (direct from adidas) in the classic white/green which are supposed to be all synth for the past few years and labeled that way on the website, but they showed up with a leather symbol on the tag and certainly look like real leather. Adidas fuckin up.

I’m fairly confident in my ability to detect real leather and never once have I doubted these … but yeah, someone over there needs to employed solely to fix all their fucked up labeling 😢

It kind of looks like a combination of a Chukka Low, Safe Low, Emerica Dickson, but I don’t know what the toe area is based on. They’re kind of ugly, but I’m ready to buy a pair.

The Crockett Decons look great but I need more padding, and hate the extra time it takes to put on high tops versus lows.

i've fallen for this before with boots that ended up being "synthetic coated" animal leather but these seem legit. was hoping someone had seen them in person or better yet skated them.

I should have mentioned that I go a pair from here that said that but they were white with black. I can tell that my Nikes are synthetic. But not so much with these and there’s no tag. I will say they are super comfortable they are harder to skate in than Nikes due to board feel.
