Etnies catalog is all carry-overs, didn’t seem worth posting

(Edit) pretty sure those prices are in cad before anyone gets scared

looks like we'll get a few more synth (cupsole) models from emerica...
Do I spy a synth (grey) OG1?

Does anyone know if the light grey/grey OG1s on the emerica site right now are the synthetic/mesh OG1s pictured in this?

Switch & Signal is stocking the OG-1s which is as legit a confirmation as you can get (they only stock vegan shoes). Seen on ig.

The Switch & Signal post should've been enough, but just in case there was any lingering doubt:

Heads up that these things are PUFFY. I figured since they were on the same sole as the new Heretics that they would fit similarly but they do not. These are getting are returned because they fit much tighter due to all the upper padding.

I have a few pairs of OG-1s, and skated at least 2 colorways already. The padding packs out enough to where they feel more ergonomic and form fitting as you wear them. They're not as densely padded as an Accel OG, so break in will be easier for those worried about trying a puffy vegan option for a change from slim vulcs/cups.

I'm an 11.5-12 in these, so like @kneebone said, they feel a little tight because of the padding, but they're a roomier/less narrow fit in your correct size.

I've actually never owned a pair of emerica G6 cupsoles so I can't provide a direct comparison, but there is no midsole in these. Just a bit of that stiff fabric over the eggcrate.

As someone who's worn and skated G6 models, as well as OG-1. There's no midsole and you notice it compared to G6 cups, where you feel cushioned under foot. The sole feels stiff, but also flexible somehow (you can squish the sole in more easily on OG-1 than G6 cup soles, but you can't crumple the shoe like a floppy vulc. However, if you swap in a thicker insole the OG-1 feels like a happy medium between a G6 cupsole and a slim vulc/cup under foot. The OG-1 sole  kinda feels grippier than G6 outsole to me. That may be because you "feel" closer to the board with an absent midsole and herringbone tread.

TLDR: Not super similar to G6, but not super different either. Closer to a vulc grip/cushion-wise, but still feels sturdy enough like G6 cups do. Definitely swap a thicker insole in tho

thanks boys! If my local gets them, I might try them, I’ve still got some KSLs on ice though so I should probably skate them first…

I like the thick cotton on these, so much better than the thin canvas on Vans shoes.
I agree they'd be better with minimal branding, just like any shoes.
I doubt I'll ever see any Ipath unfortunately, I don't know if they're distributed in France and it's unlikely the local shop will get them anyway.

The green Mute and Hoban are already available on the emerica site and a few retailers. I will def pick up those black/white Plex whenever they come out.

Not that I know of. You could probably still find those Always collab Pro Models in black patent/neon green somewhere, but that's a very specific vibe.

They're so inconsistent anymore with vegan silhouettes. They used to do Superstars, Adiease,  Matchcourt, Busenitz once in awhile, and a couple others is don't recall the name of on a somewhat regular basis.

Hopefully they venture into doing more vegan colorways again on commonly bought shoes: Busenitz, Matchbreak, Forums, Aloha, Superstars, Nora, Superskate, etc.

I could have sworn there was an all grey canvas with synth red stripes that was a vegan model. Maybe I'm crazy! I was positive they did vegan busenitz vulc at some point, but maybe I'm wrong on those, too?

this!
Adidas is bad with options and the always collabs get bought up by fuccbois. Their non-skate line has regular vegan-labelled colourways for gazelles/ Stan smith etc.
Also look up this model: SUPERSTAR ADV IG7576
I have a pair on ice and they are synth (but from 3 or 4 seasons back so getting harder to find)

Hey guys, reading here for a year or so and your posts gave me so much hope (and inspiration to buy new vegan shoes :D)
This is my first post here and I'd like to thank you to keep this alive!

Searching for vegan skateshoes kinda became a new passion for me, saving websites and boomarks is like ... developed a sort of meditation for me, with a small amount of relief every time I have a finding ...

And what I found is a website by an vegan who also skates - and every now an then he posts his findings with some backround information:

His website is acutally a blog: https://www.christiankoeder.com/search/label/skate%20shoes?m=1

good luck on your quest (I hope you’re not AI) …
That site is okay, the problem with it is he doesn’t really update or confirm his own doubts. Case in point: the emerica heretics have been proven to be vegan (he stills sates they're not) and we know the colorway of the vegan OG-1s meaning this thread is still the definitive source for vegan skate kicks imo🥑

It is pretty ironic. To be fair though, half their shoes are synthetic when most skate shoe companies are dwindling their vegan options. At least we got a new vegan shoe model, even if it is camo

I DM'ed Village PM asking if any of their other 1PM shoes are vegan (some models don't list their materials)

Quote from: Village PM
"To answer your question: the current season 1PMs are made of suede leather. The camo 1PM you’ve seen from our new drop, however, is vegan (canvas).

All 1:30PMs are fully synthetic and therefore vegan, except for the Glossy Black colorway which does contain leather."

Hopefully the next 1PM drop will have more vegan 1PM colorways. All black synth suede would be perfect
