Mohammed Salah and the club jointly announced he's leaving Liverpool at the end of the season. I think this is the best outcome for all parties. Gives him a deserved victory lap and a chance to soak in some adulation, and allows the club to turn the page .
[close]

Yup.  Glad it happened.  Don’t have to wonder “what if” like if he left last summer and maybe we can get a nice exorbitant transfer fee from the Saudis too
[close]

Nah he's leaving on a free. I hope he comes here lol

I don’t understand that move considering they could have got money, but at least that’s a big wage off the books.

We’ve been linked to Olise forever, but I’m not letting a single hope get up bc I couldn’t think why Bayern would ever sell him.

May I interest you in a Savio?

Should’ve sold him in the summer if Tottenham was really going to pay 70m for him.

Well I might have been more inclined before a year of Semenyo and Guehi speculation and so much more only to lose out on them, but you can’t really fault the wages on offer.

Frankly am fine with losing out on Guehi.   Found out afterwards he was one of those guys bitching about wearing the pride armbands

To be clear - just rooting against Arsenal and their primrose path to the semis

I grew up with Henry. Pires, Bergkamp etc. And always admired the beautiful football they are playing. Also they don't have any a racist fan base or so (as far as I know)

Why is arsenal so hated on slap?

Went to the Canada vs Iceland friendly today at BMO in Toronto...and yes it snowed. A few quick notes:
• Canada was super flat in the 1st half and missing
Eustáquio, Davies and Bombito really showed how poor our depth players are - although Jebbison and Flores off the bench are new options.
• The temp seating for the World Cup games are in...and look shoddy (scaffolding over asphalt on wooden caps)
• That stadium is going to be disastrous for access/egress with the bigger crowds.

Now onto an important question...with countries rolling out their new kits for the World Cup which have caught your eye? Love the retro Mexico and despise the Canadian away kit (saw it called a "cum rag" on-line and now can't unsee it).

What's up with arsenals fan base? I am not from England and don't really follow English football so I would appreciate some context

I wasn't really expecting it, but tonight's world cup deciders really got me on the edge of my seat. Particularly Bosnia and Herzegovina's heroics against Italy. They made that 13.000 seater in Zenica feel like La Bombonera. Good stuff and thoroughly deserved. Can someone more knowledgeable explain what the flying fuck has been going with Italy over the past 10 years?

They did win the Euro 2020 even though that game made me hate chielini a little and whomever did the panenka pk.   Might have been the last time

Yeah I watched it too and can confirm that it was riveting for a neutral. The DAZN commentator said the same, and you could actually hear it in his voice, lol. Can't imagine what it was like for the Bosnians!

And I don't know about Italy or their federation, but Gattuso is a fucking horrible manager, so I guess the people in charge are morons, which would explain the NT sucking.

More than half of World Cup countries face extra costs as Fifa fails to agree US tax deal

Fifa has not agreed tax exemption with US government
Burden will fall disproportionately on smaller nations

Yo! Didn't expect to see a footy section on here. Psyched to see this since everyone I know isn't really a fan. I got nothing useful to post, just got psyched when I saw this.

What do you mean you got nothing useful to post? You let me know you're psyched and that made me psyched.

Man spurs might actually go down, I just hope Leeds stays up, they look safe but you never know.

I think they will some how manage to stay up. I'm a WHU fan and keep thinking we will definitely fuck this 2 point lead up. I know it sounds bad but we need another relegation. It seems like the only way we will be able to straighten the club out is if we sink the ship.

I've been following these boners since '98 so failure is one of my favorite past times.

West Ham is at least in ok form. Spurs are just dreadful, they haven't won a match since 2025.

I can’t believe Sevilla might go down too

Also, for the first time likely in any of our lives someone besides the Old Firm could win the SPL!

Easily the best game I've ever seen. Granted I'm not an expert and not a hardcore fan, but guys like Peter Schmeichel are saying the same, so I feel less ridiculous saying it. The intensity was insane. Just non-stop action.
